No need for a number, just wanted to share my SWR rig. This is all pre-Fender.

SM-500, Goliath III - What a combo. I can get so many tones out of this thing it's insane. I love it.

Count me in :D :D

I love ths sound of my Goliath. However I got it with damaged (buzzing) tweeter (straight out of the box). I still need to get it fixed (now I'm playing with tweeter off). It's some kind of plague of these cabs :/

EDIT: Is it me, or photobucket started to rape quality of the pics? I can perfectly remember that the quality of this pic was better (uploaded approx. 1 year ago) :/

I got my Workingman's 2004 and Workingman's 410T about 4 years ago, and it's been the first amp I'm totally satisfied with.
Seems plenty rugged, it's been through a couple dozen all day and night benefits and jams plus proper band gigs and practices without a hitch.
Got my DT1000 tuner in the rack space, and will probably add another amp when the time comes, most likely a 750x (so I can play around with my Rick-o-Sound when I feel like it).
I don't have a pic of the rig, it's at the guitar player's house, where we practice.

Cool.

I just added another Golight cab to the Golight stable.

Picked up a 4 ohm Golight 4x10.

Now I have the 8 ohm 2x10, 8 ohm 1x15, and 4 ohm 4x10 Golight Cabs.

Sorry no new pics (my camera is broke).

This will do.

Hey guys,

I am thinking of buying a used Goliath 6x10. The carpet is a bit torn and one speaker is apparently blown (I haven't been out to try the amp out yet.)

I was just wondering before I bother to check it out, what the word was on these 6x10s. I went through the threads and saw some pics but no one is saying much about them.

I have a Mesa Powerhouse 1000 (4X10 plus a 1x15) now run by a GK 1001RB2.

Anyone have any comments about the sound the 6x10 produces - any issues or pros and cons?

Your advice would be appreciated.

I love the Goliath Sr.

Big cab, not too bad to move, punches through like crazy and has a decent amount of top end without the tweeter. Not as big on the bottom end like the Goliath 410. It's a very loud cab - my SM400 can drive it nicely.

I may be wrong but I seem to recall that the G-Sr. was designed by SWR with Jeff Ament's input to give him an update of an SVT cab vibe. His Sr.s were like the versions that went went to market except that they didn't have the tweeters installed.

Sorry about slackin everyone. Everyone who has requested a number should now have one... I sent PM's to the last several people who wanted one...
REMEMBER - You do not need to own or have a SWR - Just be a Fan of SWR!!!

Ok then, I *used* to own both an SWR Workingman's 12 and 15, both pre Fender. I preferred the sound from the 12, and it was a great amp for use with an analog synth. A keyboard playing friend now owns the 12. I actually donated the 15 to a young, all girl rock band, last year. They needed it much more than I did. I consider myself a fan of the Workingman's 12, for sure.

I have a La-15 that I now use as a practice amp.. got it on 01.. and I have a brand new Workingman Pro 400.. still in the box as my cab has not arrived yet.. I am waiting on a Schroeder 1212L... Once I get it together I'll post a pic..
