Like all of you, I'm a big fan of SWR gear and I use it exclusively. The distinctive sound these amplifiers and cabs put out really sounds great with the Warwicks that I use. Can't beat all the chrome, either! (I still gravitate toward doing the "big rock show" stuff, although I think I'm probably too old to pull it off in a convincing fashion any more.)
For some (psychotic?) reason, I've felt the need to buy more and more SWR product (than I need, for certain)and I think I may need an intervention (this said only PARTIALLY tongue-in-cheek).
Including what I picked up today, here's the SWR gear I currently own (please don't laugh at me -- believe it or not, I actually use it all or will use it all in various configurations ... some sits at several rehearsal spots around town ...):
Two 350X heads in respective racks with the usual compression/sonic maximizers, etc. -- one with an additional Crown in there;
One Mo' Bass head in same type rack setup, as above;
Two Goliath III's (one pre-, one post-Fender acquisition);
One Goliath IV (just got it today -- it was a steal -- couldn't pass it up);
A III series Goliath Sr.;
A III series Big Bertha (I usually use this with the G-Sr. and Mo' Bass -- this setup ROCKS);
An early III series Triad;
Two Big Bens -- one early III, one later III (recently did a show with the BB's under the two G IIIs and my keyboard player termed it "The Wall of Death;" loved that);
... and a Working Pro 1x15 (Picked up today also -- as part of the "steal." (I've already pulled the Eminence and loaded a cast-frame SWR 15" -- complete with SWR-embossed dust cap -- in the thing.)
Given the amount of chrome grill screens in my posession, could I possibly get a number (before I'm institutionalized)? Again, great to see an SWR fan club! I look forward to communicating with you all.
