I'm in favor as well: love to see what other peeps are doing in the synth bass world, would be perfect for a soundclip database (sticky?) and many other cool stuff.

So, what's going on with this?
Any feedback from the mods?
I think that's because most folks don't think that synth keyboard discussion, or maybe even modular synth discussion, belongs in the Effects forum. All the more reason to have its own subforum.By my rough count currently 4% of the first 150 posts currently in the Effects forum have the word "synth" clearly in their title.
I put my http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f36/experimental-fully-modular-bass-rig-902681/ because I really didn't know where else to put it. I was afraid that if I put it in the ~amps~ subforum that I'd get a ration from the sniffers in there because it isn't about some bass head that sits on a cab.I think that's because most folks don't think that synth keyboard discussion, or maybe even modular synth discussion, belongs in the Effects forum. How many tuba bass lines have you heard in popular music in the last 40 years? By contrast, how many synth bass lines have you heard in the same time period? Or are you just messin' with us?What's next? Tuba corner?
The forum would be there for those of us who choose to surf it. And it seems that there's a great deal of interest in it. If enough tuba players want a forum, let them speak for themselves.I like reading the odd synth bass thread but I'm not so interested as to surf another forum.
