Tal Wilkenfeld on (2) Herbie Hancock Tracks

Are you saying the woman signing lead on Fallon with Hancock is Susan Tedeschi, the Imagine song? I don't need a video of it just the singer's name.

That's not Tedeschi on Fallon. On the album it is Pink and India Arie doing vocals on Imagine. Tal sounds great on the CD and does a masterful job on 'A Change Is Gonna Come'.

Pink is killin' it. I totally dig her whole thing... attitude, and she can actually sing:bassist:

+1, yeah I'm a fan too. I'm usually not a fan of these kind of projects, but Herbie sure knows how to pull together a diverse group of musicians and make it work and be very hip.

Can I get a clear response? I don't need to know who is on the album or who was NOT on Fallon I just want the name of the woman who sang lead on the song Tues night on Fallon? geeeeez, Seems no one knows. Is she a ghost?! I'm pretty certain that wasn't Pink not that I know Pink's face well enough to know her if she changed makeup from her astonishing aerial act on the awards a few months back.

Answered on the first Google hit.

Then why don't you type the name and stop referring to the link as if its some cia mystery that you and you only are entitled to. I didn't ask for a riddle. Just a simple answer from fans. I Googled it before ever coming here and the only text with the link is this...

A BIG HAND FOR HERBIE HANCOCK
Posted by Jon Friedman June 23, 2010 11:00 AM Categories Music
Herbie Hancock performed "Imagine" from his latest album The Imagine Project. If you missed the performance or would like to see it again you can watch it HERE.

UNLESS THERE IS INVISIBLE INK THAT YOU SEE, there is no name there other than Herbie's.

I would have relaxed if that was the answer given when I first asked. The only way it is the first lick on Google is if you already know the name. Thank you Kenneth B!!! Now I can buy her album. Artists keep talking about how they are illegally downloaded and how they can't make a fortune off even a great seller anymore but when you try to buy legitimately here is what you face just trying to offer my 99cents per song. THANK YOU AGAIN.

Sigh....

click this

That's the google results when you type in "Herbie Hancock Jimmy Fallon"

Now, when you follow the first weblink (not the one under "News", so I guess that'd be the *second* link on the page), you'll see 3 comments below the video - one of them is your answer.

Talkbass is a community of bass players. You'd get a lot more help if you'd ask nicely and leave it alone - nobody here *owes* you an answer. And with your demonstrated attitude, I doubt you'll get many more.

I wasn't rude at all. I asked a straight forward question hoping for a simple 2 word answer. If someone can get answer from a first link they would, and not go to a blog and ask for assistance. I've posed a Q online about 4 times in 14-15 years accessing the net.

Of course no one owed me.

My Google screen looked as follows:
1st link
Herbie Hancock: In Rehearsal with the Jazz Legend‎ - 9 hours ago

2nd link
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon - Video Blog - A Big Hand For Herbie ...

3rd link
NBC.com - Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

and then finally the 4th link is
Herbie Hancock – Jimmy Fallon Show – 6/22/2010 - 3030FM

and IT is where a person did give a simple 2 word answer to the person there that posed the same question I did.

That person didn't send the inquirer to a link. He/she simply said her name and that was all I asked for. Easy Breezy Fast NOT Slick or smug.

Had you answered like that I would have given the same thank you I ultimately did give.

Please post your age in your profile, kinda curious how much slack we have to give.;) We almost always try and give whatever info we have at the time.

Hopefully we won't here from you for 14-15 years. Regardless of if you realize it or not the tone of your posts are rude and demanding.

You've got your answer now don't let the door hit you on the way out!:rollno:
