I've bought an Ehx Neo Clone a few days ago and today I've compared it to Boss CE-5. Neo Clone sounded much natural for me and was easier to set. I recorded one quick sample with Neo Clone with depth switch on and rate set very high
Analogman mini chorus! I love mine--very lush and flexible, especially with the the upgrades they offer. Mine has the external mix knob and is actually on its way back to the factory to get the external deep/normal/thin toggle installed. Should have even more tonez at my fingertips.
The digitech hardwire cr-7 stereo chorus just might be right up your alley. it has 7 different chorus models from analog to digital. best of all, it sounds really nice on bass.

of these three I prefer the Tech 21 by a wide margin for what I'm doing musically

TC Corona has multiple voices, from subtle to high trichorus settings, very transparent, cons: cold digital feel
This. It's next on my pedal acquisition list.
Try the MXR Analog Chorus or the Black Label - same chorus different box. Works great on bass.
Now that's a flavourful answer! I've had Grape-Apple, but I've yet to try Peach-Carrot – sounds mm-mm tasty.

Nonetheless I'll go on Record that the Chorus gives you the best Italian bang-bang for your buckaroos.

Love mine! However, I don't think the DCCC goes deep enough for the OP. I'll plug mine in today and see how deep is my love...
I've only had my Cosmichorus for a short while, so the honeymoon tidal swells of its chorus still make me swoon, but it's prolly oversized for the OP...
@Snakeman1066 :: Definitely you can re-house your preferred Bossound, DODible or other pedalia. PM TB's own JWR (I know he's rehoused some Bossy stompers) or search the Net for someone else, possibly there's someone even local to you.

What about the MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe?
If I were you I'd also look into having a Boss pedal rehoused. Too bad you have bad luck with them. I've had dozens (some from the early '80s) and I've never had one break. My favourite Boss chorus is the CE-3, so I'd have to recommend that.
I can't even imagine ever replacing my Tech21 Bass Boost Chorus - it is simply a perfect chorus pedal, the only thing I'd improve on it is expression pedal input. I use mine with the Speed knob off and the detune function used heavily so my chorus is very deep and spacey but consistent. I've loved running it into my slow phaser (MXR Phase 99).
I've played a Cosmichorus and I loved it (maybe slightly biased due to my love of Dr. Scientist) but didn't sense it to be a super versatile sound if you want "normal" chorus tones - the cosmichorus can make some crazy electronic sounds, though, for sure! I'm tempted to pick one up just because it can get way more intense and weird-spunding than the Tech21 and I'm thinking it'd be cool with my OC-2 in front of it.

Another vote for Tech 21 BBC. It can dial in any chorus sound I can think of (and more). I leave it set one way that I like and only adjust the blend every now and again. I can't imagine ever replacing it with something else.
