TalkBass Q&A Game

A: No one can afford a lawyer...but if you have an arm and a leg to give them, then go for it!

Q: If I have more than 1 bass do I need another?

A: How would I know? (that's not the question but is meant to be perceived as rhetorical). Chances are you don't though, depending on how many more than one you own, what kind of instruments we are talking about, what kind of music you play and if that music demands of you to be able to cope diametrically different tones. Also it is impossible to play fretless or upright on a regular fretted bass guitar, so in case you need to do that, I'd say you need at least 3. Seen from a more existential point of view you don't actually need any basses at all though.

Q: How would you describe your playing style on bass, I mean what would you think people who actually cares about music would associate you with as a bass player?

I would refer these people to my lawyer.
Can I possibly be taken to court for my bass playing?

Probably not but anything's possible. Don't play loud in your neighborhood after hours and you'll probably be OK.

Is there something we should know about your bass playing that could cause you to be taken to court over it?

No, but i've had a friend in high school get drunk and blow chunks in my car, all over my car stereo. He's still a friend, but it took me a while to forgive him of that.

Why do people like hip hop-infused country music?

The hip-hop part I get, the country part I get, I just can't stand them together.
