Talkbass Store not taking orders?

After many appeals for me to check out the Talkbass Store's closeout deals, I have put a set of strings in my cart, but when I try to check out, I get a "something went wrong" message saying they aren't taking orders right now.

Signed,
Confused

Maybe shoulda pulled the trigger before you got to that many appeals to check it out.
C l o s e O u t... When it's gone, it's gone.
If they took your money and didn't deliver, you might have a legit gripe.
Maybe shoulda woulda huh? Did you even read the post? A. I’m not griping, just confused—wondering if there’s a technical issue. After many entreaties I scrolled through and found something I thought I might have a use for. It shows as in stock, I put it in my cart, try to check out, and get a message that orders were not being taken—NOT that it was out of stock. Yet you’re scolding me for not “Pulling the trigger” and condescendingly telling me “C l o s e O u t…when it’s gone it’s gone?” I hadn’t been waiting to pull any trigger, and according to the site it wasn’t gone. I actually don’t care much. I don’t really need the strings and can buy them for a few dollars more any day of the week. I was just puzzled that I was invited to buy something and then told orders were not being taken.

Why you felt the need to weigh in and recharacterize the situation so that you could appear to be the wise voice of common sense setting the errant OP straight, I don’t know. Well, actually I do, as that has been your standard m.o. lately on TB.

In the future, maybe try to resist the urge to weigh in when you have nothing relevant to add. Or at least read the post and respond to what is actually said. There’s no need to respond to every post.

Sorry I wasted your time. I apologize for the things I said. I was being a schmuck.

In the spirit of trying to be helpful (and I hope it is received as that) I would suggest posing your question to the fine folks who run this forum. They can probably help resolve your confusion better than some clod like me.

Thanks for that--you're right, I should've just messaged the mods.

And please accept my apology for what I see in hindsight was a ridiculously harsh and mean-spirited overreaction to your post. I ventured far into schmuck territory myself. I was driving all day yesterday and got home late and exhausted, or would have apologized yesterday.

Hope you have a great 2023!
