Tatoos on Women?

I am pretty sure that lots if young women don't think too much about how their tattoos will look as they age. Those tramp stamps and titty tats may no look so hot at 40 or 50.

To me it really depends on the girl, the quality/content of the ink and where it is on the girl's body. There is DEFINITELY a lot of body art done without a ton of thought put into it, that doesn't mean that this is the case for everyone, but it certainly happens often. How many times have you heard people say that they got a tat with a friend when they were X years old and regret it? Quite a few of my friends are in that boat.

On a more fun note...I'm currently seeing an absolutely gorgeous Vietnamese girl who has a very well done cherry blossom tree going up her left side, and it looks amazing on her.

I used to feel the same way, but I'm into chicks that like death metal (they have to or we won't get along - say whatever you will about that), so I've come to appreciate tattoos as long as they don't look like drawing practice for their friend with the tattoo gun.

I don't have any tats myself, but that's because I've never thought of anything I want on me, rather than any aversion.

I will say this, though. The super wide-gauge ear jewelry is a turnoff for me. I don't want to be kissing a girl's neck and smell infected ears.

Your statements seem a bit incongruous.

Your first statement implies you don't like any decoration or body modification, when really you just don't like one specific form of decoration or body modification.

+1. It's all about the placement, quality and nature of the tats for me. I used to feel as you do, Doc, but then I fell in love with a woman with nearly full sleeves on her arms as well as a few other tats. There are a couple on her I wish she hadn't gotten, but they aren't deal-breakers and for the most part I find her ink very attractive and well thought-out. (No tramp stamp or boob tats.) I'm discouraging her from getting more, though, as she has beautiful skin and would rather she didn't cover more of it up.

Have fun with logic as you always do. I am giving my opinion, not trying to pass some test you have constructed. Perceptions of beauty are social and personal constructs. My dislike of female tattoos is no more or no less than anyone else's tastes about what they find attractive.

I'm gonna have to agree, I never cared for big tats on women.

I don't mind small stuff really, and even some medium sized tattoos can be sexy if done well.
Unfortunately, it seems all too often girls are getting these massive randomly placed pieces that look completely stupid/trashy.

I am a fan of tattoo work, just think it makes what could be a gorgeous girl look bad.
Now, having said that, I have also seen plenty of stunning women that were covered in ink and I surely wouldn't kick any of them outta bed, for eating crackers, or anything else for that matter.

So I guess maybe I'm on the side where, it really depends on the girl.

well Rhianna looks terrible so perhaps you are just reacting to that.

tattoos are like anything else, works for some doesn't for others. also depends what it is and where it is.

Really?

She may not be your type, but she is far from terrible.
Rihanna, looks just fine, she's had her moments, where she's had some questionable looks, but she's still a pretty girl.

That's about like saying a chick in playboy is ugly, they may not be our particular flavor, but they are all very beautiful women. I've seen plenty I don't find very appealing but never any to cause me to go to the extreme of terrible or ugly.

Actually, I need to amend my statement. I don't mind tattooed tatas if they're completely tattooed and part of a larger piece like a yakuza-style full-body tattoo.

I think Rhianna is very pretty, that is why I think her tattoos tend to litter a very attractive body.
