Tatoos on Women?

As if these women would look hot at 40 or 50 without the tattoos?

I think the "Those tattoos will look bad after you get old" argument is really weak. First of all, do you think you'll look good being old with no tattoos? The answer is no. Secondly, who gives a crap what you look like when you're old? You're old, end of story. Nobody looks good, and you or I or any hot chick will be no exception.

Edit: just to clarify, I'm not trying to be argumentative, just giving MHO. The tone of this post comes across that way though.

You must be young. We all age. We all don't have to look like crap as we age.

uhhh def works for me :D

I agree with you, that's the main idea I'm presenting. We all age, and we all look worse as it happens. Tattoos or not. If you have tattoos and you look like crap after you get older, you're going to look like crap without the tattoos as well. And Vise Versa. It's not as if some older guy or gal with tattoos who looks like crap would all of the sudden look good if the tattoos disappeared. That's my point.

Do you really think some 70 year old guy or gal looks good because they have no tattoos? No, nobody looks good at that age. What difference will it make it they have tattoos?

And this is a bit off topic since it's about tattoos on men, but if I was to see some old shriveled up dude who had a bunch of tattoos, I'd be thinking, "I bet that was one cool edited - no profanity! ~mod. when we he my age". Maybe it is on topic, because I'd probably think the same thing about an old lady.

You sound very young indeed! Lots of 70 year olds look good and many are in good shape too. At my age, lots of 40-60 year old women look hot to me, however, they tend to have aged gracefully. They are not trying to look twenty.

There's always a "qualifier" to this though. That being they look good "for there age". There's nobody who's going to be comparing 70 year old women to 25 year olds and be saying, the 70 year old looks good. It's always they look good "for there age". Which in reality means very little.

And by the way, I'm not nearly as young as I wish I was.

I have never said anything about the character of women with tattoos. I just don't find them attractive.

That's my point. Do they need to be attractive to anyone other than the person that has them? People don't generally get tattoos for someone else to look at, they get them for themselves.

It's a moot point, but I just wanted to comment since so many people seemed to be focusing on the 'hotness or not" of it.

And thanks for your comments hover, I appreciate it. :)

Probably the first chick I saw with a sleeve was a pron star named Janine.
It was pretty hot, probably because it was different (but probably mostly because she was hot).

Now..... it tired, been played out (just like the butt crack tattoos).
Whenever I see a tatted up girl now all I see is someone trying to be different by doing the same thing as everyone else.

Of course, no one else has to like them. The truth, however, is that we all judge each other in terms of attractiveness. I know I have been negatively assessed at times and sometimes I have been complimented.

I think it varies hugely depending on the case.

You could have on one end of the spectrum, the Kat Von D / Suicide Girl look, where a girl is heavily inked, yet still attractive because the tattoos are part of who she is.

Aaaaaaand then there is the other end of the spectrum, which I'll just call the 'Amy Winehouse' end.

I see a LOT of people who look like they let their toddlers draw on them with tattoo guns. It's never a good thing.

If I can tell thought and skill went into your tattoo, then I'm a lot more likely to appreciate it.

If clearly either or both are lacking. Most likely I will not.

This thread is cracking me up. We all (or some of us at least) seem to be arguing about personal tastes and opinions as though they are the "end all" "be all". Some folks don't think tattoos look good on a woman, others think they do. Some think it all depends on the types of tattoos or the age of the woman, etc etc.
Shocking!!!!! We have different opinions!! Simply shocking I tell you! This cannot happen...must...drive other's opinions...into the dirt....must....must...wiiiiiiiiiiiinn~~!!!

It's a shift though, when it comes to tattoos, 40-60 year olds with tattoos will become more common in 20 or so years.

Though on saying that, my parents (59 & 60) have a fair amount of ink, neither of which you'd assume to have ink or even realise without them going out of their way to show you (which they wouldn't). My great aunt even got a small tattoo in her mid-70's. Not to try and be twenty, but because it's something she had always wanted, but it had it always been deemed taboo.
