I bought the 208. Good enough for home practicing and band rehearsel. If bigger gig(wich we always play with PA) extra cab possible. Everything I need.

TC Electronic BG250 Club (Part 2)

I bought a 208 again a couple weeks ago. Great for basement play.. I'm taking it to a friends to jam with tomorrow night... By itself it does well.. and it's amazing how small and light it is. Plus, having the speaker out for an 8 ohm extension is fantastic if I need it. It will be used for basement, church stage monitor, jamming with friends etc. The BG 250 208 with a Steinberger/Spirit makes for a tiny load to drive somewhere.
What extention cab would you buy for this combo? I want to spend about $350 or less. I live in Europe.

I use a TC RS112 with my BG208 when I need a little more heft and volume. May be a bit more than your target price but you can check out TC's K cabs (210, 212) for something in your target price point.

Can you tell me what it added to your sound?
K series are okay but don't look half as good as the RS series.(especially together with the BG250-208) Besides of that they don't have any controls for the tweeter.

The 208 is pretty mid-forward so adding in the 112 really rounds out the bottom end quite nicely providing an articulate, yet full range. In all honesty, though, most times I'm good just running the 208 for smaller, more intimate/acoustic-y time affairs. I don't use it for bigger gigs but see no reason why it couldn't when coupled with the 112.
I just bought the RS112. Good price, good weight and looks fantastic under the 208. Together they will have enough volume for all my needs. For gigs we always use a PA system so it's only for backline or rehearsels.

Sound quality is amazing but finding tone print pretty annoying. Connected via USB to my laptop and was expecting to be able to edit my own combination of Delay and Overdrive but seem to only have a handful of options.
But Toneprint aside, this is an awesome amp for the money

Agree - I haven't even tried the Toneprint option, use it for keys mostly. Did use it (bass) for a jam-session and it handled that w/o issue.
Hey, recently i sold my Taurus BL-12 - great amp, but too heavy to transport every band practice (especially that I live on 2nd floor) and I was thinking about getting a BG250 - they sound great, just the modern tone I'm looking for. But I have problems deciding which version to pick :
2x8' or 1x12' or 1x15' (all are in similar price range, a few bucks difference)
I heard that the 2x8' wont be enough for a band practice with 2 guitars. Any suggestions from users?

That's depends on volume off the other bandmembers. I bought the 208 because of size and weight in combination with a RS112. This setup(together 25kg) suits all sitiations and it's easier to handle two lighter things than one big and heavy all in one combo.
If you only want one combo you should go for the 112 or 115.

When I bought my 115 I was told the 112 seemed underpowered compared to the 115 or 210. I never tried the 112 but the 115 was something like 10 bucks more expensive, so I just went for the 115. No regrets after a good year of usage!

I bought my BG250 112 used for a great price and have never tried the 115, but the 112 works in my sometimes loud quartet for keys, and as I noted in my earlier post it handled a similarly sometimes loud jam session on bass. I don't know how much more the 115 weighs but the 112 is nice and light.

I demoed the 208 for a few weeks, and with one band (2 guitars, keys, drums), it was fine for rehearsal. With another band (1 guitar, keys, drums), it got edged out. I wouldn't have really thought the volume of one band was so different from the other...now that I think back on it, the rooms and the way we set up in each might have made a difference. Regardless of that, the difference between the two contexts was decisive.
The 115 is light but can be seem bulky. While very light for its size, I found that it was right at the height that the single top handle didn't always allow a straight arm carry (some lifting and/or leaning was required). So, I guess that depends on how tall you are.
I had the 115 and was able to demo the 208 and 210...never played the 112.
Since you are aiming for weight and navigating stairways, if I were you, I think I'd try to make a determination on the 208 or just go for the 112. Again, the 115 is "toss around" weight but the size could present challenges that the 112 wouldn't.

I have the 210 and it's the heaviest of the bunch but still very light at 44 lbs. I think the 115 is 39 lbs (I think the older, original 115 was a few pounds lighter)
Imo are al these to bulky and heavy, except the 208. It's easier to carry a 208 and a RS112(together around 55lbs) than only one 210 or 115. Besides of that is that configuration more versatile and better sounding.
Hey, thank you very much for the imput. It was very useful. ATm. I ruled out the 208 and after seeing a comparison on 112 vs 115 I think I will go with the 112 - weight is similar (around 1.5 kg difference) but the shape and bulkiness of the 115 seems to be quite offputing in comparison with the 112.
Right now I'm only thinking if I should go with the BG250 combo, or buy the standalone head (BQ250 or BH250) and a cab
