TC Electronic BG250 Club

For those who have reported tolex damage, can you post some pics so I can understand this better? I'm thinking of getting one of these to replace my Trace Elliot 2x10 cabinet which is a tank and weighs almost as much.

It may or may not be the case that the same thing would have happened with another cabinet, but I just get a gut level feel that it's more delicate. I think having the cover takes care of most minor things that might happen.

Pic 1 - Drummer had a snit because his son stole the adapter from an RCA cable. He threw the cable, and amazingly (to me) it actually caused damage...a little, plastic RCA cable...

Pic 2 - I was walking out of the house and set the amp down to lock the door. The storm door swung in and made a dent. I think the cover would have prevented this and I also think that it wouldn't have done the same thing to another cabinet. It really didn't hit it very hard.

The BG250 is a joy to carry...well, that's probably an exaggeration, but relatively speaking, it is.

I'll sometimes stop complete strangers and tell them to lift it, just to see how light it is compared to what it looks like :D

Edit - Oh and the incident with the storm door absolutely wouldn't have happen with any of my other gear because due to the easy carry, I was taking everything out in one trip.

No opinion; can't seem to be able to update the TonePrint...unless I revert to IE as my browser. Firefox does not like the interface. I grabbed Duff's chorus, since it is a sound like what I get on my Boss CEB-3. I'll probably not invest in a footswitch, right away, since I have effects at my feet, including chromatic tuning (main band tunes down a 1/2 step).

Sorry, can't address the update or interfaces. I use a MacBook and don't have an iPhone or Droid.

I have the same situation with tuning. I've been using a pocket tuner (Korg Pitchjack) and then using first fret tuning on the fly.

I had no problems updating my toneprint with firefox, but hey use whatever works. I'm gassing for a foot switch right now after having some quality time for mine... I really like the chorus and flanger sounds especially over the ones in my zoom b3. Let us know how your effects run through it... I had varying results due to the input level and playing with tubedrive.

Hi

I just bought a used BG250 from a well-known online site and it came with just the unit. No power cord. No USB connecting cord. No manual. And without that red "suggested settings" card on the top.

The manual I can download from TEC's website but I can't find those settings.

So if somebody has the red card maybe you can tell me what they are, or even suggest some settings. I'm in a cover band that plays mainly modern country and a little classic rock.

The online site says the BG250 was sold "as is" and won't send me anything else.
