TC RH750 part II

That the other thing for practice I keep one 2x10 at one practice studio and the other 2x10 an the 2x12 stay at the metal bands practice studio. I just show up with my bass and my RH 750 plug in and go. I practice at home into my headphones so no cab need. Still thinking about a rs4x10 cab so for one more option. I love the whole setup

This is what I did. I bought brand new cabs for home while having gigging cabs that I kept elsewhere. In retrospect it wasn't something I needed to do so now I'm selling the brand new ones so I can get something smaller for home.

I have a gig with the softer drummer this Friday, I think I'll try the RS210 by itself and see what I think.

I'm also very curious to see what kind differences I hear with the cabinets when my RH750 gets here. Maybe it's the RH450 that's "thinning" some at the level needed to hang with the loud drummer?

Follow up: I went with just the RS210 on Friday. It worked fine, but it was a completely unremarkable experience relative to using a single RS212; certainly nothing on the plus side other than the difference in ease of getting it there.

I still want to hear what might be different between the RS210 with the RH450 and RH750 when it gets here (hopefully soon), but I'm thinking that having two RS212s has me covered...one when that works and two when I want more.

As much as I love my RH750, Ive noticed the 'love' for TC has dropped dramatically for TC in general on here. Big shame. I know there was the 'wattage/perceived wattage' problem that exploded once the BGM article hit, but these threads seem really quiet now. :(
Welll, FWIW, my appreciation for mine hasn't diminished at all! :)

Mine is not going anywhere. I think its just a forum blip and eventually it will spring back.
Well, even if it's not, this is typical anyway. It's hot for a while and then the honeymoon is over, but it's still doing fine. The "misleading" part is posts start to become more about complaints rather than normal/expected/happy operation.

+1 I am still very impressed with my RH450 and RH750.

I think a contributing factor to the minimal discussion currently was that a number of threads were closed down by moderators when things veered too far in one direction or another, and perhaps folks are/were a bit gun shy about starting a new TC thread...

I think the products have just been out for a while so there isn't much discussion of them going on. Mine is still a hammer.

I am wondering what the TC-NAMM teaser video on their website is all about. Putting Polytunes in a washing machine...not sure what it could mean. Any one have any clue?

It's hard to discount the difference that the existence of other killer amps in small packages is having too. There's now the TH500, Streamliners, Ibanez Promethean in addition to others.

Now people interested in a smaller amp are finally getting to make choices based on their own personal preferences as opposed to getting 'one of the small amps's with little range of choice as there once was.

Hard to imagine life without it. The feature set is phenomenal, I can carry it in a backpack, and I can get close enough to the sounds I need. It is just the most practical thing in the world! You can get better sounds with other equipment, but that costs a lot more and is much harder to carry. This sound (TCE) is so close to that sound (platonic ideal of bass) that getting closer is not going to matter on any gig I ever do.

I think some distortion and compression are almost always good things though.
