TC RH750 part II

Wow... seems like maybe you have kinda' tried everything... I guess I've just had different experiences, but I don't know why. Oh well... I'm sure you'll find something that works better for you. Lotsa' great products on the market.

I appreciate you sharing your experience! I love the differences we can discover in the art of bass playing; it makes the world of bass more interesting! :)

I have found a rig I am very pleased with, in particular with fretless.

My goal was not to knock the RH750, but to share it's strengths, and a weakness (IMO) that I observed that was my experience.

PEACE

Yeah, absolutely! Thing is, ironically, the warmth and behaviors of my RH750 make it really pleasant for fretless for me, and I don't seem to miss anything with it vs other amps, but if we were all the same people, it'd be a BORING WORLD! :D

I have sold a bunch of these things, and I own an RH750, and have had zero problems with the knobs, so I don't think it's a widespread problem. I would imagine a replacement set will set you straight, and if not, I would imagine TC would do something to make it right.

they're most likely going to send you the same crappy knobs, you'd be better of with after market knobs you may find on your own...

Anyone found any after market knobs? Preferably some fuzzy dice knobs...

I have zero concern at this point about TC making it right. They have been very communicative and helpful so far.

They are not fuzzy, but I was actually looking at these: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

One thing I wanted to know from TC, despite the fact I'm very happy with the 750, is how they made it more powerful than the 450?

The BGM tests confuse me. How can it have the same output wattage yet be louder?

I'm not sure if Uffe answered this.

It IS louder, I just don't know how they did it!

there really is no such thing as "normally". I have 2x RS212 and a RS210. There are varying configurations of those boxes depending on the room we are playing. Most of the time it is only 2 boxes standing on end. If the stage is sturdy enough it's 3 boxes usually on their side. Just did this for a lark.

TC have actually changed their knob design.

I just got a set of 3 replacements sent out and they're definitely different:

A bit hard to make out in the photo, but if anyone cares - then new knobs are better.... so far.

Could you detail the difference? Which is the new and which is the old? They both look like they still have the flawed fins inside the knob. When did you request the replacements?

The one on the left is the new one. You can see the fins on the old one are thinner towards the centre. A bit hard to get better photos with my phone.

A few of the fins on mine actually just sorta fell apart then fell off. The new knobs fit really firmly. I've given em a hard yank and they don't come off.

Just drop em a line and they'll send you some new ones - took about 3 days for mine.

It's been a couple weeks since they said they would send me a new set. Someone said they are back-ordered. That's why I asked when you contacted them.
