Hey guys, just registered.

Picked up a 1996 300w GP7 last week, the model number on the back is 3001, serial number is missing but my guess is that it has faded away.

Anyway, I'm looking for a TE 4x10 to go with the head and theres a couple on ebay at the moment. One has red stripe but no ports, the other has no stripe and two round ports. Both are listed as "early 90's".

Is there anything special about either cab in terms of rarity or value?

Love the Trace!:hyper:
Had the cabs for 10 years and finally have the head to complete my TE mini rig. This combo pretty much covers all my gigging needs.

G'day Sic Groove, welcome to the team, member 198.

I didn't know of any sealed 4x10. In any case it's all about the sounds, very little trace gear holds even its original retail value.

TE did a redesign in IIRC 1993, which would be the model with the round ports no red stripe. The red stripe is older.

Holy cow that's a stack, why so much??

For your efforts you get member # 200 ! I'd pass on using such a stack unless there was no PA and 2000 people to play to.

Musical Musings, sorry to disappoint, you're #199.

Hey Mav, your amp is a bit different to the earlier Kaman era SMX, I guess they just changed the knobs and the paintjob seeing the layout of the knobs is the same.

No need for a number. The head is a RAH300SMX Kaman era, I'm thinking around 1999.
Need some rack ears for her. Anybody know anywhere?
I've emailed British audio service and they are looking for someone to manufacturer them.

I had the same problem with rack ears, so I ended up going to a metal shop. Ended up costing like 18 bucks and a beer. That probably would be your best bet.

Yo, Count - did you get the 250 that's on ad here?

Firesalt's GP7SM- yes indeed, it's to be the 'backup'/mate for me trusty auld 250SMX; bread is in the mail as of yesterday.

I've been with no backup for a couple months now since swapping an amp for a 5-string, this presented a good opportunity to relieve that situation!

Heh..., did I snick it out from under you?? :hiding:
