Team Trace Elliot pt4.

Yes. On the outside. You'd have to show us the inside to see if it is still all TE or if it's been modified as some have done.
I know one guy on here modded his out with another brands main amp.
But what your showing is a TE model.
Keep in mind the only difference between an AH and an RAH is the RAH stands for Rack-mounted Amp Head As opposed to standard Amp Head in a case.

Okay, I'll ask the seller to show me the inside :D

I see, so there's not a big differences between AH and RAH model right?

Ah, and one last question, how does it sound? Is it thumpy, growly, a lot of mid, or what?

I'm currently confused to buy this one or Hartke LH500

finally I found this thread :D

just a simple question,
is this amps a real trace elliot?

My friend that is exactly the one I have!!! It's a great amp. Wish I could get my hands on that to compare with mine - as posted earlier, mine seems to have a bit of a fault.
Despite the fault mine has, it still is an amazing amp.
Buy it my friend, I think you will be very impressed.
If you don't want it - send it my way!!

I'd almost bet there is a logic gate that shuts off the input not used. If both are used then it confuses the logic circuit and it shuts off both sides.
I offer this because most of the SM, SMX, -7 & -12 series amps have one input jack and a manual switch that controls the active/passive section of the preamp.

That would make sense, but doesnt explain the other problem when combining signals through a mixer. That problem is the one that has my tech guys bamboozled.

AH250SMX bought used in the UK a couple of years ago, and a 1048 cab I bought new in 1990 from A1 Music in Stockport, UK and brought to Oz with me when I emigrated in 2006.

Can I have a number?

I've got a question-I've got a Trace V6 that (I hope) blew the
mains fuse (located under the input for the power cord)-
Anyone know the trick for getting the fuse out?
I am unfamiliar with this type-
Also does anyone know what (U.S.) fuse to replace it with?

I think you're going to have to pull it out of the sleeve and the top off the chassis there. Be careful! But I'll bet that once you do it'll be easily accessible, and you can match it up. You could try calling or writing British Audio Service... or wait for the random excitement to die down here and someone might pay attention to you. ;)

Maybe the lead is funky.

I wish it was just a funky lead. The tech guy tested all of my equipment including leads. Good to know that everything else is A1.

BTW I did get a reply from BAS this morning, so I'm glad about that, but at this point all they suggested was possible phasing issue. My tech had already eliminated that possibility tho, so now am right back where I started.

I have been told of a mysterious bass cab with two 15's 2-10's and a horn....going to check it out in the next couple of days...

Man you'll need a truck to move a big sucker like that. I'm sure it'll sound fantastic, but will be a monster to transport.

Is it a TE cabinet or a custom built ? Good luck!
