TecAmp amplification club.....is there such a thing yet

I picked a Puma Combo 112 up a while back from tber naturalkind in a partial trade deal and am amazed how good this thing sounds!I have used it at home for practice and taken it on small gigs and used with a Accugroove Tri 112L and with this at 350 watts it is plenty.I am really liking the sound I get from the mid speaker since there is no tweeter as per say.Sounds very natural to me and EQ is set flat almost all the time.I also just recently pair the Puma 112 Combo with my Bergantino IP 112 and these this sounds great!It is a very portable 750 - 770 watt 212 combo with the Tecamp tone!No need for a 500 or 1000 watt Puma Head anymore!

Hey guys,

Here is a recent clip of my Puma500 with my new Bergantino AE212. It sounds beautiful! The AE212 is about the same size as my s212, and about 15 pounds heavier. The tone is right between the original s212 (with the small front ports... bright, tight, articulate) and the current s212 (large rear ports), which was revoiced to go very deep with a much more polite, smoother upper mid response.

This combination KICKS! Playing starts at about the 30 second point if you want to skip the blah blah blah.:D

Really? Your comparison is a little off IMO... Ernie Ball products still carry the MM logo/branding, and a pre CBS Fender is still a fender in every sense.

So, while I disagree with you... I also care less who joins the club cuz were just having fun here! ;) Heck, we don't even have numbers so I would even call this a 'club' yet.

If someone else here figures that techsoundsystems is close enough to be considered tecamp gear, feel free to roast me. :p But in response to your post... IMO if it doesn't say Tecamp, or look like Tecamp, It probably doesn't sound like Tecamp either... so I figure it just aint Tecamp.

Ken, I still think this is the best clip (tonewise) on your entire youtube channel! The tone is all Tecamp, and really sounds killer through the AE212.

I would be playing that alder/rw LG5 through that rig if I was you. ;) :D

I have that covered also with my A-C LG. It sounds GREAT through that combination.

I've been gigging a Puma 500 with an EA CXL-112L, playing only fretless. I'm very happy with the Puma. It pairs up well with the CXL-112. With this rig it's easy to get the sound I want in a band setting. I have the amp dialed in by the end of the first song, and don't have to touch it for the rest of the gig. (With some amps I'm tweaking all night.)

The above post ist old. Anyway for some clarification: Tech Soundsystems was renamed to TecAmp. That info used to be on their web site, but isn't anymore. But try the following link. It shows an intermediate link saying Tech Soundsystems is now TecAmp.

I have absolutley no idea what your problem is - other than that you're obviously not able to read. All I did was to state a simple fact. Tech Soundsystems and TecAmp are one and the same. If you are refering to who can be member in the club, I made no mention of that - and I could care less.

My problem is that the Internet doesn't convey intentions very well; apologies, no offense meant. I was somewhat sarcastically agreeing with you and could not agree more with both of your points here.
