At the very least it would open some more real estate on my board and likely put the para eq controls in better reach.

TecAmp amplification club.....is there such a thing yet

I've always been frustrated with effects loops for non-rack items when playing live. Having a pedal board is much more efficient for set up. I haven't found a convenient way to plug in and power up, unless it involves running the loop pedal on the pedal board and running long cables to the loop.

Big 45. Should be perfect for upright.
You know, mike designed the EA doubler. So that says something about the puma.
So after fiddling with my small cab options for an upright gig on Friday I ended up gigging with a Berg HS410. Total overkill but it really brought the detail out of the bass with the Puma. It ended up being probably the loudest upright gig I've ever done with surprisingly minimal feedback issues. The mixer (a good friend and superb engineer) was really happy with the tone. He slapped a mic on it as soon as he heard it and ran it with a DI line - which he was also really impressed with.
Also did an electric gig today - outdoor festival. Puma + HS410 .... GREAT clear tone. Ska gig .... Kicked it in the guts.
The HS410 is a much better match than the HD112. IMO the HD112 and Powersoft Puma seemed a bit dark.
I just took delivery of an HS210 (I picked up the Puma and HS210 together for $1000 but just got the cab yesterday) - will be my preferred small cab solution. A/Bing with the HD112 I much preferred the 210. It has the same vibe as the HS410 in a smaller package.

+1 in that the super deep low end extension and polite/clean mids of the original Puma works IMO MUCH better with the more low end attenuated and mid present 10" HD and HS series cabs that the wider HD112's. Nice match-up. I totally dug the HS210 with my original Puma500. Also, great match with the original 'mini stack' HT112's
With the newer model, a cab like the HD112 is PERFECT!
I have a Black Jag 900 and it is incredible. Before I purchased it I tried the Puma 500 and 900, and I preferred the options that the Jag has over the other heads and the tone. Here is a pic I took of my rig last night just before a gig. By the way, it sounded awesome. The cab is the M210. Punchy, fat, full, clean, it's all there.

Am looking for a TecAmp Puma 900. Only dealer I've found is Austin Bass Traders who don't respond to my phone calls or e=mails. Any other dealers out there? What are these great amsp selling for?
I bought one of my Pumas from Glenn at ABT - he was very responsive. I got the other one from Donovan at Fretspot.
I just got a Big E 4x6 and gigged it with the Monique setup yesterday but gave it a quick whirl with the Puma last night in the studio. They mate quite well. I have a 4-set gig today and may use that combination to see how it does.

The Jag is pricey. I ordere the Puma, then turned it around and got the Jag 900. It sounds like the Puma, but with more options. The compression is nice and the Rock will add some grit, but not fuzzy distortion. The extra EQ options are nice if you have multiple basses. I also like the rack form factor more than the micro head. I'm happy with my decision to get the Jag.
