I guess I'm one of the few that don't want this pedal. I like to see where my knobs are at, which you can't do when using a preset!

That's where your memory comes into play ;)

Besides, once you move one of the knobs, the LED of that channel is solid when you're at the spot on the preset and blinks when you're not.

There's another good reason for the loop, even if you run it always on and switch your individual pedals instead. You can have your effects AFTER the overdrive stage and still have them come through the DI.

Many effects sound quite different after OD compared to before.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I didn't realize you could toggle the effects loop on and off (just re-read a couple posts back and noticed that I missed that in your initial post). Since I would be running three pedals in the loop and they would never all be on at the same time, the ability to toggle like that would be no benefit to me, but it's definitely a neat idea.

It sounds like I need the "Bass-VT Deluxe Pro" :smug: That'd be the Bass-VT Deluxe with the addition of a pre/post switch for the DI a series/parallel switch for the effects loop and most importantly a robotic arm that could make me drinks and small sandwiches for those between set munchies :p

i'm the exact opposite. for some reason i keep kicking the knobs, so i'm really looking forward to kicking them without it affecting my sound. my favorite tones are set in stone at this point so i don't think i'll have a problem adapting.

**** this is making me mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

earlier: i had one vt bass tone i loved and it was awesome. it was fit for everything i usually do, i loved my vt bass and wouldnt play without it

now: i now have 3 or 4 more different tones which i would like to save as presets. one for slap, the other for geddy lee kinda sound and so on. so this makes buying the deluxe a must! :( so am wondering how will i buy the new bass i have been planning on!!

Yep, you have to press the channel button 2X (not super fast) to save the changes.

Erm... unless I've missed something, I though the deluxe/programmable sansamps only saved presets, not lock them. Surely you can still knock a knob and alter the tone?

You are correct, unless you have "restless leg syndrome", horrible epilepsy, huge feet or 2 left feet, I don't see it happening any less than a regular effect (And how frequent would that be?). But it does not lock. worst case if one of the controls did happen to move, switch over to the next channel and right back to the channel you were on and back you go.
