The Über-Jay Mark2

So it's a 50/50... great....:eyebrow:

I'll place an order for 20% smaller dome design next week. I have to wait until I'm ready with some other parts so as I can order in bulk. Then we'll compare the three options. Just to make it more complicated :D

...Are the strings ball end on both ends? If so, how do you string it?

They are regular strings secured to a brass anchor with an Allen screw and then clipped to the exact length.

LOL... still 50/50 eh? :D

Stealth, I did not upload pictures of the anchors because to me they are still under development. The work very well I must say. But I have a few improvements in mind - mostly aesthetic - and I'd rather wait until I'm happy with them.
There's also a patent thing going on... my lawyer says I should not disclose bla bla bla until bla bla bla... ;) But I don't really thing I'm going to patent anything anyway. In fact, I'll probably start a thread when both anchors and bridge(s) are perfect... to me, that is ;)

Tomorrow I'll take pictures.......

I respect your lawyer's drive to patent it, but part of me still hopes you'll go "open source" on it, because your basses are some of the finest there are on all of TB.

Thanks.

On the patent thingy, I had lengthy conversations with lawyers... :rollno: Bottom line is, patents can be had but they are a pain to enforce. And I've seen enough knock off Dunlops, Steinbergers or Younameits from come-n-get-me places to believe I could manage it. And to be fair, I did not invent the hybrid system; I am only interpreting it.

I'm really more of a sharing type of guy. I draw inspiration from what's around me and I like to fuel this exchange. So, yeah, I will eventually go 'open source' ;)

Finally I found the time, the light and the background to take these pictures.

Inadvertently, I deleted all the pictures of the back and details :rollno: I'll take them again and upload over the week end.
