Haha, for about a decade, despite playing in bands as a bassist, I basically only had one bass (MIJ Squier, Hondo II Explorer sat home). I finally bought a MIM Jazz in the '90's, only to have the Hondo stolen shortly thereafter. So for the last decade or so I've had two interchangeable (quality-wise) ones. Just within the last 6 months I've gone up from 2 (the Fender and Squier) to 4 (adding the Peavey Fury I; and the Epi T-bird just a few days ago).

Don't rush me!

Funny thing is, I have almost 2 dozen electric guitars.

'06 - ESP: Ltd F-255 - neckthru (transparent black) - Sold
'07 - Warwick: Corvette Standard 5 String (black stain) - Traded for:
'90 - Musicman: Stingray5 (solid black with black pickguard) - currently own
'03 Ibanez: BTB405QM (Transparent Red) - Sold
'07 Fender: Precision Standard MIM (Candy Apple Red) - Gave away as a gift to my student.
'07 Fender Jaguar MIJ (Hot Rod Red) - Currently own

Most were purchased new, except for '90 Musicman. '07 Fender Jaguar, '06 ESP, and '03 Ibanez were purchased 2nd hand from collectors and one from a friend, which were all in mint condition with no sign of wear except for some minor fretwear/string wear. I'd say most of these instruments were very good except for the Dean and Ibanez EDC which were horribly dull in sound. Ric was an awsome sounding bass, would get it again if I had the funds, kinda sucks it went up in price. Both fenders are great despite the fact that the P-bass is the Mexican edition, one of the best budget basses you can buy, Musicman is one of my faves so far, very fine neck, nice and thin and very comfortable to play as a 5 string. the BTB ibanez had a decent tone and sound, but lacked volume, and the string spacing was huge, too big for me, but has nice low action, 35 inch scale is too much for the b string - too floppy. the ESP ltd wasn't a bad bass for the price, cosidering it was a neckthru, needs a bid of electronics upgrade like the btb ibanez, but not bad overall. Lastly I had 2 warwicks, Corvette, which was passive, had a a horrible dull sound, not worth the money, besides the fact that it was made in germany and the woods used, it wasn't anything special, very bland, plus the strings were too high up from the fretboard and there was nothing I could've done to lower the action without having the 5th string flop, also the neck was a bit too chunky, kinda like a baseball bat. the Vampyre on the otherhand was a more professional approach from warwick, very nice bass with a setneck, active pickups, 26 frets, which is the warwick thing on the upper end models, and the sound was awsome, can't say it was my favorite bass, but definitly one of my faves, and my xgf had to "borrow it" without my permission...never saw the bass or my x again after that incident, would be a pleasure to strangle her if i was ever to see her again, kinda makes me upset everytime I think of that bass, and I can't even find one again, besides it being pricy, it's discontinued, and it's a pain to find to begin with, maybe someday I'll custom shop one to my specs.
Well that's all my basses up to this day 6/2/09. I have some photos of my previously owned basses, but none of the Ric, esp, or the vampyre.

That's 30 basses and counting I don't think that's a sickness, basses are made to decorate a house with, they're like these huge ornaments, except their useful and none are alike. I would definitly broaden my collection if i could afford it, that set looks awsome!!!

A '72 Fender P with a new neck, a new pickguard and re-waxed pots (otherwise, stock)

A Fender Jaguar (my favorite one)

A danolectro DC bass

Here's mine

G&L SB-2: Black/maple, Very early Lane Poor's, Re-fretted by Lane

Guild Pilot: Black/rosewood, original EMG's, EMG BTC 18V, "The Beast" Overpowering sound and THE best neck I own.

Pevey Dyna-bass Unity series: Koa-purpleheart neckthrough w/ ebony FB, hopshot, smooth, sexy and full of tone, play one if you can, they are nice. (pickups are OK but the koa smooths them out)

Pevey Accelerator 5: My only 5 string, 35" scale, "The biggest" Lane Poor's ever made, you have to hear this to believe it, "the bone rattler"

Lane Poor Minima: The 4th bass made. "Blondie" the only Amber gloss minima made, fretless, CF Martin ebony fingerboard overcoated with Lane's step fret epoxy, 20 years of playing and no string wear.

Fenders:
Japanese J, black/white/rosewood. J-P-J w/EMG's, 18V "My "toneamatic" bass
Mexican J, clear ash/tort/rosewood, gotoh, thumbrest, covers.
Mexican Precision: Black/tort/rosewood, chromes

Hofner lookalike from the 70's, don't ask me who made it or where but it holds tune and plays so it stays.

Gibson Les Paul Delux: Black/creme/gold "Jimmy Page" lookalike. My first instrument I bought on my own, cut lawns, paper routes, anything to earn enough to buy it brand new in August '76

Squire P, J and tele basses for my students to use if needed.
