I was at 83 basses just a couple of weeks ago. I have been on a selling spree recently to finance a new buying spree (what can I say, I have a wish list!)

So I am down to a mere 78 now.

Shhh. Don't tell my wife. ;-)

I had 2 SB1000's.

Just about all of these listed were "owned", I'm down to 2 with another one the way. All listed are basses I played at some point. I've bought and sold many more.

edit, I just remembered a 3rd Aria I had. Don't remember the model #, but it was built like the SB1000 with dual pickups.

Those are good ones. I've had 4. Holding 2 now plus the uber rare bolt on version SB-800.

BTW, for the 50+ club do we count own and owned? If we do, I am embarrased to post my count. :hiding:

Thread tilte says "owned". My house was a revolving door for basses for 20+ years. My wife finally just quit aksing about them cause she knew if I didn't keep them I would usually at least get my $ back.

My first SB1000 was my 3rd bass overall. Played it for a couple of years and then bought my first Fender, a '72 P Bass. That's when all hell broke loose!!

Yeah I know how that goes. And strangely, after I bought my SB1000 all hell broke loose. That was the bass that got me collecting. Started with nostalgic purchases and went apes**t from there.

Damn you Duran Duran for reuniting!

Didn't think that I'd qualify, but I did a count up anyway and discovered that the total so far is 31.

That means that my next bass (should there be one) will be #32 - my lucky number :)! Given my user name, what brand will it be do you think ? :hmm: .....


WRONG!!! :D

Next bass is very possibly going to be one of the new StingRay "Classic" series - couldn't have designed a better custom StingRay myself and am GASsing like a madman for one of these.

Anyway, time for this dreamer to step aside and give the thread back to the real contenders ;).
