I don't wanna diss G&L or Lakland ( fine basses!) but if one have owned 30 G&L's, when do that somebody realize that that's probably not the bass for him?It's another thing if he stills owns them!!!

I'm at 11 with #12 on order. My wife thinks I'm crazy with that many. I can't imagine being able to get away with 50 (even if they were over many years) short of winning the lottery.

I've owned about 40 basses over the years. Most of them in the bygone days of having lots of disposable income and answering to no one. At this point, I figure I can make it to 50 basses, or my 50th birthday.. but not both.

hmmm ... I've owned about 25 to 30 or more Rickenbackers ... 5 or so Jazz basses ... 7 or so p-basses ... a schecter, an Ibanez, a couple of Musicman clones, a couple of Dean basses, 3 fenderbirds, a gibson ebo, a hofner, a hofner copy ... I'm not really sure of the exact count but I think it would put me over the 50 number
