The 50+ Basses Owned Club!!!

Count me in! Most but not all the basses I've owned are listed in my profile. This is not counting the 2 new ones on the way.

George

George, I count 44 in your profile. Plus 2 on the way is 46. Got any more in the closet you forgot? List 'em and I'll give you a number.....:D

(Some serious vintage axes and amps there, dude......! Love those old pre-CBS amps!)

My list includes:

That makes 50 exactly. Woo hoo.

Many more to come.

1961 King Double Bass

Is there a King club? I have a 1938 King Mortone! :D

I'm one of the people reading this wondering how someone could have had 30 or 40 of the same brand bass. Either you liked it, or you didn't?

I still have most of the basses I ever bought... and the ones I don't have anymore weren't worth keeping, except for maybe collector value. I find myself playing one or two, and some of them I haven't played in years.

My meager list:

2 SGD Scorpio 5 strings (set neck... Main basses number 2 and 3)
1 SGD Scorpio 5 string (bolt on... My main bass at the moment)
1 SGD Scorpio 5 string (neck through fretless)
1 8-string bass I built.
2 '73 Rickenbacker 4001's (my 2rd and 3rd basses)
'88 Ibanez SR-885 5 string
Mosrite Ventures bass
(guitars)
SGD Alchemy
Lucite Dan-O Longhorn copy I made
'72 Fender Mustang
'59 Jazzmaster
Charvel frankenstein
Univox High Flyer
hand made classical

No longer have:
'68 Teisco/Kawai Concert (My first bass!)
Klira violin bass
Hondo II P/J Frankenbass; fretless with Kahler vibrato.
'74 Fender Precision
Gibson EB-2
Kramer Duke
Mosrite Ventures bass
(guitars)
Vox Stereo Phantom XII
Hayman 2020
'82 Gibson LesPaul Standard
Gibson ES-330TD

That's only 28 (with the Mortone)... and not all basses!

Thank's! I've owned at least 4 more basses, Unfortunately I just don't remember the specifics because they've been spread over such a long time. It's ok though, I don't really need a "number". If I remember some more I'll add them to my profile list.

George
