I just saw a thread that the Acoustic brand is dead. Does anyone have an official statement of this?

Acoustic USA and Acoustic guitar center are two different brands. And I heard that the GC brand is about to die
I hope not. They're awesome and affordable amps with classy looks to boot. If they do go out, I'll finally have to settle with *ugh* Ampeg...
They just signed up Rudy Sarzo, and they have video of him with the 600 head and the 810 cab. It'd be odd if they did.
A GC employee told me they were doing away with the bass line and would be having only the guitar line...BUT I just checked the Acoustic website and they are showing 2 new bass heads (300w and 800w), new 115, 410 and 810 models as well as a couple of new combo models so doesn't appear the bass line is going away after all.
Specs indicate the new gear handles higher power and appears to be ported cabs but they are still pretty heavy.

O-kay..... this seems like good news.
I feel tempted to try one of the new heads (esp the 300) but I'll probably put a different cab under it.
Although the 260MKII looks interesting as well.

hey, I think I should be removed from the club, I sold both the B-3 head and the empty 406 narrow cabinet, still have the JBL K145s. They were both good amps, just didn't need them. I am #341, if somebody just wants the number they can have it.

I had an svt 350 in the practice room, this band has two guitarists both with stacks + humbuckers + distortion. A drummer that hits really hard with many cymbals. I had the ampeg way up near 10 not to get buried. I changed it out to the 320 and I put the amp on 1 or 1 1/2.I can get in the right spot in the mix with ease. These are great amps I love the sound. Outdoors with two cabs they are a godsend.

So I have an idea. Is acoustic having their big sale at the moment because the are going to replace the 200w and 600w stuff with the new 300w and 800w amps? The thought just occurred to me. 
Looks like the B-600H may still be around - but the MKII stuff might replace it all. Confusing too to me, since GC is dumping the non MKII stuff for super cheap.
I'll be sorry to see the 2-Ohm B-600H/B-450 die though.

Me too. I have wanted a B-450 for along time but never got one. The B-600H with the 410 is my main live rig and it sounds so awesome on stage and at this point, I really don't need anything louder. And in the up coming months, I hope to have some money and can snatch up some of these deals. But I already have g.a.s. for a new bass so the decision maybe tough!
