Thanks!! I'll have to clean the grillecloth on the one on the right. I was lucky to find two of those cabs within a fifty mile radius. $660.00 for both.
The cab on the left has a speaker (you can see it in the photo) that has a small dent on the aluminium cone. Is there any way to repair that? Small suction cup? Does it matter in terms of sound?
Other than that I'm going to open them up, clean them up and make sure the wiring is solid before I fire that rig up.

I popped out some dents on my 810's dust caps using $1.00 superglue and an pencil. just put a drop of glue on the pencil and place it in the center of the dent. wait just a few seconds till the glue starts to set then slowly pull the pencil back. should pop it out with no issues at all...

Man in brown truck brought me this today...gonna give it a whirl tomorrow with my bandmate's cab...then start cleaning it up. :D

Bought this clean 360 preamp from my guitarist's Dad's pawn shop in '73 and used with Dynaco Stereo 70 amp in to 2x15 JBL D140. I could barely keep up with a loud quintet; but the tone was wonderful.

Retired it in early 80's and it sat patiently in my garage until last year :rollno: ! All I had to fix was the power cord. It had a rotted outer cover so I installed a three conductor cable.

WOW what I been missing. I put it in front of a Mesa 400+ it slams. Especially with the Variamp on position 2 and cranked way up:hyper:. A very rich warm tone is produced.

I now GAS for a 301 to complete a set :smug:

A number would be appreciated. thnx

Forget the 301. Try the new 360/361 from Acoustic USA when you have an opportunity. It will blow you away.

Wow! 370 runs & sounds GREAT! Can't believe 38yr old piece of equipment sounds this good. Temporarily running through an 8ohm GK 2x10. Makes tones (really good ones!) I never thought I'd hear out of my crap Goth bird, plus some real smooth mellow old school distortion. Waaaaay better than my B100.

Just wanted to share and join the club . My 301HB W bin, serial #HB4184

This cabinet was stolen from me about 4 years ago.
I hope im getting this right....member #72 Sunnmon a good friend of mine said he found a 301 for me and shot me a pic.

I just went nuts...because many years ago i stuck the little yellow sticker on it..being the silly kid i was....and instantly recognized it!!!

You found my stolen cabinet man!!!!! I already had my 44 loaded and wanted to drive out there and offer this guy some "cash" right away.

had to calm down, because it had already changed hands a few times..and the seller was not the thief.

So i paid 270 bucks for this, on top of the 150 i paid for it...many many years ago.....all that matters is she is back home now:D

I have a Acoustic 370 head as well, which is my current bass amp ....and believe me everytime i hear about guys making fun of 30 + year old equipment it makes me laugh....
Aside from a few tube amps...this solid state wonder has been the best tone i have heard ever.....and i have tried and owned many "new" amps. But the 370 has been there for me for years now. 2n3055 Transistors and Quasi Complementry output stages is the ancient tone god. laugh if you will...and eat my dinosaur poop non acoustic lovers.:spit::bassist:
