Preamble: I eschew tubes in amps and especially in combos, although you said nothing about combos.
Since I feel that a person wanting or even mentioning a tube head is not looking for a sharp-shrill modern sound - why don't you go with an Acoustic B-600H and get a cab of your choice?
The B-600H is a tough little amp and it goes down to 2Ω for the full 600 Watts.
The Acoustic gear is more olde-school sounding and as such it has a niche place in bass players needs and although it can boom really well, most of the Acoustic cabs and combo gear has a piezzo horn for that Memorex-Glass Breaking sound capacity too.
As I have almost everything Acoustic makes (well, I don't have a B-200 or a B-200H yet) I find the guy who posted right above you (Rockingbird) is selling his B-450 combo which has a B-600H amp in it w/210s + horn. It was the first amp/cab I got after a long minus-bass hiatus, and I love it dearly.

Wish you were in Florida! I've been wanting to upgrade to the B450. So hard to find any used (locally) since they are relatively new.

Well, finally my rig is done.
This is my rig. Two Gallien Krueger 700RB II's running into two Acoustic 106 cabs.
It's a stereo rig with the bridge p/u running through the one on the left and the neck p/u running through the one on the right.
The GK 800RB and Peavey 1810 (full range) in the middle is for my Moog taurus pedals.
