I own a 150b and just bought a 370 from a fellow TBer so the 150b will need to go. Still I want in the club, I'll post pics and edit the post when I get a chance to take them.

ive looked around a bit and cant find the answer.... anyhow i FINALLY have my speakers 2 3015s for my 406 cab... anyhow does that cab need baffling like insulation stapled to the inside walls or do you just run these cabs with the walls bare... both ways make sense to me (btw on the inside of the cab they wrote the date "feb 1977" and the name of the builder or qc guy or what ever) kinda cool i wish they always did that stuff makes dating it so much easier....

so question is (to baffle or not to baffle) and any other advice would be helpful... using a crown 401 and an art prochannel for the amp and preamp...

Someplace buried in the older 'Amps' pages here is a discussion on adding batting to a GK cab...the general consensus was that pretty much ANY cab can benefit from being damped inside.

I play through a B100 combo. It hits almost too hard for the apartment and I honestly can't imagine having more power. Yet, it seems to be so underpowered compared to other people's rigs. What do you all do about the volumes and where you live?

Any 100 Watt amp will overpower a bedroom/bathroom - but out where you need to move air it is sadly lacking.

I use a 600Watt and it is just sufficient for the venues I play - be they 40-acre BBQs or wine tasting rooms... and that's why they put volume knobs on them

I had a Carvin 100w 15 combo. More than enough for the music room. Not nearly enough for anywhere else. I can still play in the music room with the b600h and the 810 cab. On 1...

Just bought an Acoustic 260 mini stack today! Huge upgrade from the little 10 watt practice amp (also an acoustic!) that I've been using.

Today is NAD for me, I will be leaving in 97 minutes to pick up my first "real amp". I was set on the b100 because I didnt know about the existance of the 260 small stack.

Here is my question. I do not gig yet. I have only been playing for 2 months (at 42 years young), but I will soon be playing with others in an "old guys in the garage jamming" session. I have a passive Fernandes Jazz and an active Washburn CB14. I am not going to ever rock an arena, but my 15watter cant even fill my garage.

Is there any huge difference between the b100 and 260?

Your advice is appreciated!

The cab design is different. The B100 has a 15" speaker to the 260's long 10". I'd go with the B100 if I were you.

I love my 10's in general, but in this case I'd probably go with the B100 - take a bass with you and play thru both before deciding.
