Well I went in to GC today and returned my B200 15" combo. Not that I didn't like it BUT I traded up for the new B600H head. I have the B200H now and 2 Avatar neo 210 cabs so just didn't need the 15" combo but I really wanted the B60H. I really felt though that owning 3 different ams for me was to much.
Now I only played the head for maybe 10 minutes through the Acoustic 15" and 4 10 cabs but man was it nice. I really liked being able to switch off the para filter. Wow what a nice difference.
Finally I noted that the FX loop has a variable pot to control the wet/dry. Man they added a lot of features for just an extra $250.
Hey I forget can this amp do 2ohms?

You may want to back and have a little chat with the Mgr. just to get some particulars on what you paid the extra warranty $'s for. All Acoustic Amplification products are warranteed for 3 YEARS. From every thing I've seen and heard so far, GC (who owns Acoustic Amplification btw) doesn't ask a whole lotta questions, they just happily replace the unit. They don't have to play Monkey in the Middle anymore between the Customer and the Mfg....they are the Freakin' Mfg!!!
Curious to know what I may have missed.

Bought the B600h and the B810 yesterday, and it is breathtaking. Though the head hangs off the back of the cab, I had it roaring and it didn't budge at all, so no worries there. The tone is just what I expected, having played through the other new Acoustic gear, and I love the vintage look. So, that said, do I get a number?
I just finished up a 2 nighter in a 200 seat club with FOH support using my new 600H, very nice. Head room to go and I like being able to defeat the parmetric and the mute switch as well as the head room.
Just a wonderful head.

Thanks for the info Bassmore.. We actually just bought our second B115 last week and my bass player bought the warranty with it too.. I think Ill take the receipts in this week and get like $75 back and get a new pedal hah.

Hey guys. I've been VERY interested in these amps for a long time now. Next week I'm finally going to get to a GC and check them out for myself 
. My question is should I focus on the B200 combo or the B200H head with B115 cab? I've never had a "stack" before so I'm unsure of the pros/cons. I currently have a Fender Rumble 100, so either way will be a step up. Thanks in advance.

Unless you plan on adding another cab, get the combo. You'll get the full 200W out of it. The cab by itself is 8 ohms so amp won't be putting out its full power.

I initially bought the 200H and the B115 and while on its own it rumbles and sounds great in a band situation the one 15 just doesnt cut it. You can feel it but you cant hear crap for definition out of it.
If you plan on expanding it later, youll be fine with the head and one cab for now..
Another possibility, pick up the head and scour craiglist for a used 4 ohm cab. Ive found a couple GK cabs for under $200 locally in just the last couple of weeks (unfortunately nobody ever responded when I wanted em so eh)..
When the B115 wouldnt cut it, we plugged in my roommates Goliath II which is a 4 ohm 4x10 and all of a sudden the amp screamed and thumped like no other.
We couldnt take that out for a show this weekend since its not ours so we bought another B115 and the two 15 cabs together are just awesome..

Question from the peanut gallery. I have the Acoustic B200 combo coming in about a month. A friend from San Diego is picking one up for me from Guitar Center and bringing it to Canada around mid December. Since I haven't played through it, I'm kind of rolling the dice but I've read alot on TB and elsewhere and this amp is getting pretty good reviews so what the hell. I have 2 questions:
1) Will it be loud enough to gig with in, let's say, a reggae band or light acoustic pop setting?
2) If I want to add a cab to it later on, what ohm rating does the cab have to be and what difference, if any, is there between adding a cab to a combo and using a separate head and 2 cabs (soundwise)

From what I've heard the B200 Combo is quite capable of putting out volume. A friend of mine's bassist just got one for their grunge-influenced band and he told me that the amp has plenty of oomph to cut through the mix.
The external speaker jack on the B200 combo is a series connection. My understanding (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong) is that adding extension cabs to the combo will decrease the wattage (because you're increasing impedance), however the extra speaker will increase the perceived volume.2) If I want to add a cab to it later on, what ohm rating does the cab have to be and what difference, if any, is there between adding a cab to a combo and using a separate head and 2 cabs (soundwise)

The combo compared to the head and one cab, actually puts out full power since the combos speaker is 4 ohms.
Its louder and more 'powerful' than my B200H and one B115 which only runs at about 140 watts or so since the Acoustic cabs are 8 ohm.
No clue on an extension cab.. If its already got a 4 ohm speaker in it, Im wondering what impedance speaker are you supposed to hook up to it? And does this mean the amp bumps up to 2 ohms or what??

Because the external speaker jack is wired in series, adding an extension increases the load on the amp.
Thus, adding a 4 ohm cab to the B200 Combo gives you a total impedance of 8 ohms which, if the amp behaves the same as the B200H, will give you around 140W.
please explain this quoted statement. That only makes sense if you are adding 2-16ohm cabs to get the total of 8 ohms.
My recollections are the B200 can handle a load of 4 ohms minimum. Which lets you run 1-4 ohm cab or 2-8 ohm cabs. All of the older Acoustic cabs were 4 ohm cabs. Thus you shouldn't add anything if you're running a 4 ohm cab already. Correct me if I am mistaken.
Yeah maybe I got it all backwards again but wouldnt connecting another 4 ohm cabinet in series to the internal 4 ohm cabinet make it a 2 ohm load??
