The Acoustic Club

i have made the decision to go ahead and get the B600H and the 1x15.....next month i will add the 4x10. I have read about 100 reviews of the B600H 99% of them have been pointing to exactly the specs and sounds I am looking for, i hoping i am making the right decision

You might wanna rethink this... Stacknobuser posted some specs on what the B600H puts out at 8 ohms and I cant remember the exact number but it was a higher wattage than the 115 is rated for.

Do a search for B600H here in threads and youll find it. Id get the 4x10 first since its rated higher (I wanna say its 325 compared to the 250w the B115 is rated at) and add the B115 later..

If you picked this up from GC and it's still within the warranty period, I would recommend putting it back in the box and returning it for another one.

+1, you could possibly void the warranty if you try to fix it yourself.

Alright cool. I bought it last night and I'm gonna take it back today. I decided to exchange it for the head and cabinet.

Count me in!
I agree totally that these thing have a very distinct sound

currently I have only the B200 combo and it sounds (on the recording) like I'm playin thru a 360...no effects needed...just the notch filter....and it has the sweetest growl I've ever heard

Pics to follow, when I actually take possession. Back in early May I was trying out an Ampeg BA115HP at a GC, noticed the new Acoustic stack, tried it out. It tonally blew me away and had "old School" watts of power shaking the place up a bit (HA!). Next day, threw some money down on a New B200H and B410, down payment/layaway, little by little is how I'm rollin' these days, so good things come in a little more time is all. I'm so sold on this amp that I fully intend to "build up" in the future, definately adding a B115 and hoping to add another B200H. I highly recommend, if you have not, do yourself a big tonal favor and check the B200H with B410 or B115 out! IMHO, you cannot beat the Mojo and power you get out of these things form anything else unless you just feel you need to spend a lot more money for some of the others.

Yeah, I was able to get a little one on one time the other night with the rig (Acoustic B200H, B410 and B115, wasn't using the B600H at the time) and my Ibby 6 String Active, went into the passive input btw, it's certainly been awhile since I've picked up the 6 but after a couple of seconds of just hearing the thing come through the stack, I thought I was going to cry (JOY of course):):bawl::). Certainly does the 6 justice like all the rest of em, really cool moment.:D

It's great to see so many people having good luck with the new Acoustic amps. But I've got a basement full of the old stuff, and just today I finally completed what may be the ultimate Acoustic rig, with the acquisition of a 301 cabinet. I've had my 370 for a while now and it's sounded great with every cabinet I've used with it, but I've always wanted one of the originals to go with it---the cabinet that was made for it, the mighty 301. Finally, a good deal on a relatively nice one came my way:

By the way, this rig is amazing. The sound must be heard to be believed.

Turns out I'm not goint to make to GC after all. I found out that I have to work Friday (day after Turkey Day), and that was when my wife and I had planned to go. :scowl: So I'll have to wait a little longer.:bawl: My birthday is in Febuary though...hmmm.

BTW, I think I've decide on the B200 combo. It seemd to be more fitting for my situation. Thanks for the help.

To Chuck King. Glad you got the rig! I use mine for outdor jobs or rooms that have a high stage. It fills the room evenly and every spot has the same volume and tone.

You need some blue paint though - and get that 301 back to where it is supposed to be!

Thanx Owl for putting me on the list.:hyper:
You know we have an "Owl Club" in Old town Roseville and last year I gigged there 3 times. Tiny stage, fun place. Left my 370 and 2 301 cabs behind because of the small stage, brought my 2 SWR Goliath III cabs and Sunn concert bass amp. Have a great Thanksgiving:p
