There are two companies with the Acoustic name.Acoustic Amplification which is a division of Guitar Center, owns the name.They are the ones who make the B410 cabinet and other models.They are designed in the USA ,Made in China.
The other company is GPG Inc.They are licensed by Acoustic and are making USA made amps designed by Russ Alee,(The Godfather of bass amplification)who was an original designer and VP at Acoustic Control Corporation.They have not been released as of yet.GPG will also sell Acoustic T-shirts,cups and ect. GPG will be making a 21st century version of Acoustic's legendary 361 and a smaller version of the 361 bass amp. Stay tuned to this forum and the Unofficial Acoustic Control Corp wiki for updates.

I think The Owl misunderstood..it was Spongebob 1981 from Argentina that was wanting a club number..Woody357 already has number 73 and also now has number 159,too

That is a nice looking Model 361 you have.I have had my 361 since 1970 and it has always served me very well.It is only with in the last few years that I have had to replace the power cords on it as they just came apart and were dangerous.I has always been very reliable and had nothing major happen with it... If you will go to the Unofficial Acoustic Control Corp's web site Link Removed, in the links section you can find a source for the correct parts,corners,tolex and ect if you want to restore your amp,There is allot of historical and good information in there as well.
I like your bass,it looks like either a late model 51 P Bass with a white pick guard or an early Telecaster bass..Fender basses and Acoustic amps are a great combination...

Just want to throw in that Cousin Locust ^^ up here is one of the most knowledgeable guys I have run into when it comes to Acoustic gear and all Acoustic trivia large and small.

much obliged Sir locust and sir thor. I must say that i havent been able to stop playing. Its just soooooo loud. And you guys are right, the 51 ri sounds great through it. Best part about it was the price, $140. With the money saved gonna try and restore it a bit. Fuzz circuit and tuning fork are broken. Looks like the power chord is fraying too. The outside is a mess, but i think it gives it a cool mojoed look.
I've recently acquited a 370 & 301 (separately, but they work just fine together!).
Also, I used to own a 450/406 that I bought new. I sure miss had that amp! I sold it & quit playing for several years, but now I'm back in. I guess I'll have to make do with the 370, now!

To the above question, the ACOUSTIC Brand is owned by guitar center, used to pack up cheap Bass amps that move FAST, and are made by KUSTOM in China.
Don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to flame Acoustic, I really like how they sound.

Yours looks about in the condition I got mine in. I'm still torn whether or not to restore cuz it does look cool. If you really want to hear how loud these things are, have someone else play while you stand as far away as possible. (20ft+/-) Thats where they are LOUD. I thought I got a smokin deal on mine but you beat me by 10 bux. Nice!
Just got my new B200h and B410 from Guitar Center in Danvers, MA. Looking to go back fairly soon (as monetary funds become available) to get the B115. Played it at band practice today and was more in love with it then on the sales floor. Definitely missing a bit of low end without the 115,though. Happy to be part of this forum.
