There's a rumor of a possible show at Bass Specialties in Bensalem, Pa. Can you confirm or deny?
Confirmed yesterday! Details to follow... but I know for sure that it will be a duo show with the fabulous Steve Lawson.
The Power Trio (v.4) rides again! This from Saturday in Brooklyn, with Tobias Ralph on drums:

Only one other ABPT data has been officially announced so far, but word on the street is that a major tour is in the planning, and with a very exciting twist.
Julie, any idea when we'll get news about the tour? And will Tobias be the drummer for the whole tour?

Finally, official word about the next Adrian Belew Power Trio tour, September-October throughout the U.S. and Canada. Tobias Ralph will be on drums. The really exciting news is that they will be touring with Stick Men, with the two bands' separate sets followed by an almost-King-Crimson trio set (Belew, Levin, Mastelotto) and then by a double-trio KC extravaganza.

Good news for you, jmac: They just added a date in Phoenixville, PA (Colonial Theater) on Sept 23. (See adrianbelew.net for a complete list of dates.) Evidently, Julie does have some influence -- or maybe YOU do....
Here's another heads-up: Tix go on sale Friday morning at 10.
I think I'm gonna try to make it that show myself (plus either the night before or after).
Road trip! Got my tix for Phoenixville and Vienna. Sprang for the VIP/"Gold Circle" for best seats, early entry, and meet-and-greet. Anybody else?

I'll be in Stone Mt. GA then. See....I also play bass drum with a Grade IV competition pipe & drum band out of Jamestown NC and Fall is a busy travel / competition season and all these dates fall on competition gigs....
wish there were other ABPT gigs in ol' VA.....

I was at the Bass Specialties concert last night and I just have to say a big thank you to both Julie and Steve; fantastic playing by both in thier solo spots as well as their improvised duets.
Although the audience was small, I think it was obvious that we were very appreciative. It's tough in the middle of the week in the summer, and just days before the holiday.
Julie, I was the one who asked you about Frank Zappa's influence.
