I'm not currently after a P5/D5 but it seems that Thomann offers those now (last week they did not) and expects them to be in stock next week... https://m.thomann.de/gb/marcus_miller_d5_alder_4_ts.htm.

They now also offer V5 in Vintage White and the new Tele-style T7 models and also S7 Vintage and the L7/H7 in white resp. black.

Update from Sweetwater regarding a p5 preorder placed today: sunburst and green are all spoken for until about 4 mos out. Red still available for shipment due in September.

My wife pre ordered me a white d5 for my bday. Despite her saying I have to many.
Sweetwater said don't know when ...possibly next year.
Hoping some come in with the p's.

im thinking about pulling the trigger on the p5, would it be better to preorder on sweetwater or wait until it's available on the sire site? Which option would have less of a wait?

I preordered my P5 from Sweetwater a couple of months ago and I am still waiting. I suggest you preorder too because I suspect the price will go up soon. Already the hardshell case I ordered with it is listed for $25 more than the price I got. Also Sweetwater does not charge your credit card until the item actually ships.

I agree! I preordered mine 2 months ago. I also think the price will go up soon.

Wow, I didn't know Sire was making a P5!

I may have to look into getting one of these at some point, I've been wanting to fill my P5 void since I sold my Squier VM P5 a while back (regret that sale nearly daily).

To be honest, I was slightly interested in D5. But, after hearing the sound, I don't think I can justify $500 on it. Harley Benton, however, PB50 seems to be much better choice money wise.
