Yeah, that bass was $500 used. I think they went for $900-ish new back then.it's funny (sort of) now how unremarkable or certainly not valuable those Rics were back then. oh well. yesterday's garbage becomes today's treasures.
I started with a green Made-in-Japan bass in 1965 (piece of crap!) and used the door to a closet as a sounding board so I could hear it. In 1966 I bought my first brand-new amp. It was a 1966 Fender Bassman amp (50-watt tube amp with large 212 cabinet).I started out with a 80s Peavey T-40 I wish i had back, For a amp I used a Kustom Casino I think it was PA head and 15in EV in a homemade caz.
