The biggest rip off ever...

This is amazing... I laughed so freaking hard at this, It is the Gene Simmons "axe bass", or "punisher bass", (ill give the link) but ANY WAY... I looked at the specs on this bass on the website, and the price of one of these new is not even close to what they are asking, sure you get tickets to a kiss concert, the bass, and the meet and greet, but it is not worth the price. The price, is a rosie, $5000?!?!?! HA! for that price you get an ok bass, and a meet and greet. HA!!! What a rip off... VIEW LINK BELOW!!!! :smug::smug::p

Well, after reading it, seeing that he's playing it at that show that you are getting to see the show from backstage and get handed that bass....eh. You're right, it's still overpriced, but I'm sure it's part of the experience. Personally, I'd price the experience for less, but that's why I'm not Gene Simmons.

The cynical part of me thinks he'll play a different bass for every song and give them all away. 31 tour dates, 20 songs a night (at a guess), that soon adds up to a lot of $$$.

Considering it's Gene Simmons, I know NOTHING'S being GIVEN away! Also, this bass is nowhere near the biggest rip off I've been involved in...but that's a story for another thread (OT as well)...

What I find surprising is that anyone is surprised by any money-making gimmick that Gene Simmons or Paul Stanley come up with...Their careers started out with a gimmick, and they're just keeping it going...All show, no go...No big surprise there at all...:rolleyes:

Well, I'm not a fan, and to me that bass is, well, not my thing (IMHO). But you know, I would wager that he could charge $10,000 and people would still buy them. He's crying all the way to the bank. Blame the game, not the player..............
