And don't scowl at me. I didn't think it need be spoken that the two of us are obviously brothers of the BOOOOOOSH for life, but maybe you forgot that.

I'm proud to announce that, after reading this thread, I BOOSHed in church this morning.
Great fun!
The BOOOSHWAHWAHWAH is my favorite butt saver on fretless. Quickly slide botched note into correct note and vibrato the crap out of it and add bass face for extra flavor.

(And the congregation usually gets a kick out of it too.)draggin' fingers up and down across. (What would the technical term for that be?)
I have a vague idea what a BOOSH is, but can I please have an idea what it is in a sound context?

I have used the Boosh many times.
IF anyone remembers "Pictures Of MatchStick Men" by Status Quo (Ithink)...
Theres a heavily-flanged three-stage Boosh in that song.
It may be just a slide off three notes, but the flanger smears it together so well, it sounds continuous.
I have snagged that and used it many times.
1- Starting at the upper register (24 th fret) of G or D, begin the slide.
2- About the 10th or 12th fret, move to the next string,
(D or A) continuing ther downward movement.
3- About the 5th fret, move to the lowest string, continuing to destination note.
Adjust speed and change points to taste.
This can sound really soaring,...confusing,...or anything in between, depending on variation of style
Youre welcome![]()
