OMG, KbD, you're buying up all the combos on the planet! Sheesh, leave a few for those of us who ruin our own amps moe and then, would ya?

All unknowns I have to get to your write-up to decide the winner of Vox vs. Fender Combo Battle. Winner is coming home with me by Christmas.

And would ya finally take a number, for goodness sake? You're killing me by death at this point!

It would be a tough decision. The Studio can't do the tube-like thing as well as the Vox, but of course the Vox doesn't have different models & zero effects or a effects loop.
However, in my case the DI out on the Vox is good enough for what I need it for.

I was concerned about having 3 amps in the same room, but the Vox is so tiny I just moved it over beside the Studio. That will come in extra handy in the Spring when I start playing out on the back porch again.
Having both is great, because I can compose a quick bass riff to loop on the Studio & then play guitar through the Vox.

It's like having a bass metronome.

No need for a number, as I'm actually intending on spending less time on forums & more time playing.
I've spent a lot of time talking/typing about it, time to put my money where my mouth was.

Dog, take a note: from this moment on, maggsybass is our official British representative concerning combos. If it's info we need from England, this is our guy. Pay him a million pence a year, or whatever he wants, I don't care.

Mags (new nickname), just be you while giving us the latest combo news from across the pond. For example, did the Queen really enjoy Brian May playing "God Save Her" on top of her castle years ago? I thought his Vox AC-30s sounded great!

Okay, that's taken care of. What's left on my itinerary, Dog? I have to go back to school tomorrow and put my club mogul vibe away and return to mild-mannered teacher of youth.

Respect. Can't "kill" a guy for trying. Have you had time to mess around with recording through what I believe is the USB port? That's what bay ultimately away me because I'd like to begin no-hassle recording while the snow flies this winter. Plus, my Micromark 801 fills in for what I'd use the Vox for.

Just know you're always welcome anytime you wish to pop in, especially if it's with cutting-edge info. Thanks KbD!

I connected the USB port & then sat there wondering what I would do with it. I've already got a USB interface that works for Amplitube or recording.
Went to the Fender Fuse site today, but it's only for guitar amps. Fender Fuse was a huge thing for the Mustangs, too bad Rumble doesn't get something like that.

Well, I guess the closest is that phone application.
IIRC, Fuse works through the USB port, though.

My old Peavey Vypyr VIP had a Windows application for manipulating the amp via the USB port.

Just read the review. You seem excited and why not? Smart move adding the Fender pedal. Funny, but I thought FUSE was updated for the Rumble series and expected there to be fun patches available. Maybe it's still in the works.

I liked your volume estimate. As much as I liked the Bronco 40 (owned two of them), I always thought there wasn't quite enough gas in the tank, especially when playing out with an acoustic guitar and vocals. This one may be different though.

Re Her Maj. She did confide in me that whilst Mr May performed admirably, she was really hoping for The Sex Pistols.

I registered for Fuse a few years ago when my quest for a budget floor processor/modeler for bass that didn’t sound dark and/or muddy led me to Mustang Floor.

I’ve often found that in the modeling world, I prefer many of the guitar amp voices after reducing the gain until clean (and often defeating the speaker sim if a bass cab is involved).

I didn’t find much I could use on Fuse that I hadn’t already stumbled onto in my usual exploratory early examination.
It offers a nice patch edit/organization platform.

The current Rumble-compatible app is pretty useful for me. Tone is usable in performance situations to quickly scroll through patches and execute precise quick ‘amp’ changes wirelessly and even remotely with my smartphone.
I can edit patches fully on the Tone app from my table during a break e.g.
