Great tips, guys. I'd like to add this: buy a Fender Rumble, hit the scoop and vintage buttons, crank the bass while dropping the treble, and basically play whatever you want 'cuz no one will be able to tell anyway! :laugh:

No, but it's got the Nutube and is the front end of what the combo is. Hey, it's a clique, we can do whatever we want to! Anyway, if the rest of us all buy one, at some point you'll have to succumb to the obvious peer pressure that's going to exist.

Missed you folks over the weekend. Too much to do now that it's the dreaded December month. This one and May give teachers fits. We have our Christmas program in two weeks and I still haven't met all my recorder challenges so I can play with the 4th. I mean, what's that say about me if a kid half my size is three songs up on me?

Did play a little over the weekend, but you gigging types are driving me nuts. Keep the great stories coming!

Note to self: though I was seriously looking at Fender Studio 40 for under the tree, due to the love for the Vox amp and the fact I just created a clique, I must now begin careful consideration of one or both amps. Huh? o_O

I find the 7ender Studio interesting from a technical pov, but I have no need for all the efx for what I do/will do. I've expended all my GAS for the foreseeable future - I think. (therefore I am)

I don't care if he's technically not a numbered CC member but, @Killed_by_Death has GOT to be in the CCVC, officially or not! He got me interested in the VX50BA enough to take a chance in the first place, then to stay with it when it didn't sound so good right out of the box. His collaboration and encouragement in exploring this nu technology was invaluable to me and I'm very grateful to him for that.

Likely in

but need to build my pedalboard first. In theory tuner -> HPF -> (maybe compressor) -> VT Bass Deluxe that has the DI so I can go ampless should the need arise.

Spoke with the folks at the local music coop and back again Saturday for open house. My copy of Arianne Cap's Music Theory for the Bass Player arrived and already working it. Making no assumptions about anything I am certain I know.

Watching with great interest!

And by some chance noticed a Peavey combo with 200 watts and two 8 inch drivers. Apparently the speakers can be rotated up so there is no need to tilt it. What will they think of next?

Played at (guess :D) the Elks Club Saturday.
I separated the Markbass and Mesamark combos to either side of the drumkit.(they’re easy to miss,but mostly are in this pic).
Sounded great on stage, but the room was quite large, so i had to go for reinforcement through the mains. (JBL 215 plus horn cabs).
I was lazy,so I didn’t bring my efx for this 2 1/2 hour show. Just equal bass tone for both amps.
LOVE the VT DI pedal.
