That Chilled to The Bone feeling is one reason we are in San Miguel de Allende from Mendocino, CA. Not as humid as Fla, but you remember the quote attributed to mark Twain - The coldest winter I ever spent was the summer in San Francisco - well, Mendo was 3 hrs north and ‘ more so’….Non-Floridians don't understand that 64 is pretty cool here. That same humidity in the summer is still here this time of year. It soaks into you, which is why a waterproof windbreaker works better than a heavy sweater.
We always have at least one sudden dip down to around 70F near the end of summer (which can be anywhere from early September through November) with 90F - 100F days (some years 110 or more) is always entertaining, because suddenly 25-35% of the population dons serious coats, jeans, and boots - even UGGS. You might see a woman dressed like that (plus scarf and cap) walking with a friend in hot pants and a halter top.
Meanwhile in the Alaskan boonies, my SIL goes outside in a tee shirt on an 18F winter day because it's 30 or more degrees warmer than the past couple of weeks.
It's all what your body acclimates to.
If you send him to the exit out of the courtesy, you can get away with it.Is opening the door for a clown a nice jester?
Sorry, been suffering a sick for the last...counting on fingers... 10 days now. Not the-thing-that's-going-around (I got tested), but still bad enough to keep me away from keyboards quite a bit in those days.Hey folks! Just popping in after a little recording work here at Studio 1215. Yes, I had to give it a name so people would think it's legit, especially me.
'MUA, glad you're one of us. I either own or borrowed one of those 75-watters many moons ago and didn't think it was too bad. Here's a link for a smidgen of history on it from Reverb. Dang, Man, that sucka is like 15 years old AND digital at that! Hope you play the heck out of it and enjoy what you here.

Come on people, three posts (including mine) since Monday? Don't let this club fall off to the pages meant for threads like, "Tone controls: What are They For?" or "Poll: How Many More Vox Pieces can Doc Intrepid Add to his Rig?" Hey, it's January, it's cold, there's nothing to do inside but create good music and then write about it to your friends. Let's go!
Just Some Guy![]()

Awww, kitty-people!I'm part Kzin. When challenged, you scream and you leap, even if only into the breach.

Is no problem, I am merely recuperating from having too much sash at the holiday party. Or maybe it is Romulan death-lung disease? Hard to tell from WebMD...Uh, ... ... welll, ... Live long and prosper?
Wait! <looks around> Where's Roddy?!? ... uh, ... I mean @RodRy ... ! Where's RodRy!?!
Alas, poor Rodery, I knew him well, Horatio.![]()
.

I know, you almost caused a wreck right in front of me last year!I have been known to go out to shovel the end of my driveway, after the snow plow came by and pushed snow up my clean driveway, in below freezing weather with just boots, shorts, tee-shirt, and shovel. There is a short window before I get cold.
The benefit is that all the cars driving by slow way down to rubberneck at the crazy, er, I mean eccentric man shoveling his driveway half naked.

Just saying hello to all my fellow crazies here. Much love!

Was first introduced to them by a (sadistic) DM who brought them into the D&D game he was running. Several party members were making up new characters shortly after.Kzin are part of Known Space. Uncertain how they got in Star Trek's universe, or into D&D games.

Sorry, been suffering a sick for the last...counting on fingers... 10 days now. Not the-thing-that's-going-around (I got tested), but still bad enough to keep me away from keyboards quite a bit in those days.

ThanksMost excellent to see you!
Beautiful pic @Morrighan . Is that you in red in the distance? If you're both cold and wet on the first day of summer, you're in Ireland for certain.

Well I just bought the last black PJB Double Four that GC had in stock.
I cobbled together 3 gift cards received for Christmas and the guy was great to deal with. Really cool dude in Indiana. (Purchased online local GC doesn’t carry them) He gave me a great deal. Good guy.
I really like the idea of having a 8.5 lb amp to carry around the house. My Rumble 25 will now sit permanently next to my comfortable chair in the living room. My Rumble 500 will be in my studio and used in band situations. My PJB double four will be at my desk when working in my office area downstairs and go to my gazebo with me in the summer and go with me on road trips. If I’m just jamming with guitar players I may use that now instead of the Rumble 25.
I was debating waiting for the PJB Nano coming out in February? One 4” speaker. 35 watts. Bluetooth. 5lbs! Lol. But $375 is a little pricey and turned out for about ten bucks more after discounts I got the double 4.
The advantage over the Nano is two 4” speakers each with an independent 35 watt amp for each speaker. Double the cone area equals double the air pushed. It also has a line out. Bluetooth would have been cool but I use my wonder-boom Bluetooth speakers when jamming anyway. 5lbs would have been cool but 8.5lbs ain’t bad either lol.
Can’t wait to get my new combo! I’m really picky. Know exactly what I want and what I can and can’t tolerate. I am going to give this every chance to succeed. I hope it’s all I expect it to be.
I’ll give you my review for what it’s worth after I’ve had it a few weeks.
…. I’m awaiting my 12” ported purple Orange Crush Bass 50. If you're both cold and wet on the first day of summer, you're in Ireland for certain.
