SR said it all. Thanks, buddy, for posting. He mentioned it but I thought someone here a few months ago had to pull their Beatles tune down even though they were using it for practice and wanted to demo to us how they used it. Does anyone remember that? Regardless, thanks for giving it a listen if you're curious. SR yanked the bass out and I lowered most everything but Grace's vocals.
Then, as Jim said, we added his bass, percussion including a Cajon for some bass drum, my Tele through a Marshall Silver Jubilee plugin, and then #2's harmony vocals. All in all, it took a couple of weeks. Minus the day job, it would've been much faster, but without that, I wouldn't have my studio!
So this is our first transcontinental recording with SR's California bass-playing and we here in Ioway. The main thing is we had fun doing it and that's really all that matters. If you're bored and looking to spice up your playing a notch, then I wholeheartedly recommend investing in an interface and giving it a try. I still have so much to learn, but some teachers told me once that learning is fun and I must admit that they were right!
Feel free to comment, especially the constructive kind where you think something can be improved. I also learn from the many mistakes I make. On tap are 4-5 songs to begin work on and then go from there. I know we'll be working with Soul Reflection again real soon.
