The Combo Club

And Morrighan's combo

Move 'em on, hit 'em up, hit 'em up, move 'em on
Move 'em on, hit 'em up, Rawhide

A bass playing friend of mine told me about the chicken wire thing before I saw the movie and I totally believe it is real. Or was. Somewhere, but not in my personal universe. What I firmly believe based on my own life experience is I'm more likely to see a fight playing a wedding gig than see a fight playing a biker bar.

... same bass playing friend says he can always out-drink the drummer at the country-western gigs because he can lean on his amp.

Round em up, ride em in,
Get em up, get em dressed,
Comb their hair, brush their teeth, Rawhide!
Tie me down, tell me lies,
Pull my hair, slap my thighs - with a big wet strap of, Rawhide!

Ok, this is a different subject. I’m assuming those are lyrics from the Blues Bros version, or is a hidden tendency beginning to emerge there @G-Dog

"Those" lyrics [edited for general audiences] were "sung" by Billy Crystal and are my favorite part of the movie "City Slickers". Wait! No, that's not really my 'favorite' part! That's not what I meant to say! I meant that's the funniest part of the movie! No emerging tendencies here! All my tendencies are already out there and up front! Nothing to see here. Move along. Head 'em up. Move 'em out.

Son! The Blues Brothers do only 100% authentic musical renditions.

I fixed it on the Combo Club Wiki Page with my mad photoshopping skilz! Your stereo mini rig of doom is clearly visible, now.

Fantastic piece of work, 'Dog! Speaking for all of us, we are very appreciative of your 'puter skillz and creativity. Visit the site if you haven't had a chance.

What struck me was half the pics I thought were mine because at one time or another I owned nearly all of them!

Thanks so much, Sargeant at Arms. You're true blue!

Couple of Booker T & the MG's members in there..., I think they personally recorded Green Onion in 1962?

My favorite song from my birthyear, though I have no idea whether or not the bass was played through a combo for that.

Love the Combo Wiki page!

As promised here is a pic of the Franken rig. Its not yet working completely, but I should have the issues worked out soon. If not I'm sure I'll throw some more money after it!View attachment 3240593

Look on the bright side, Doc. You may never get the rig exactly the way you want but you'll never be without a great cabinet stand for your Peavey! Stay with it and you'll be rewarded handsomely. Of course, that's what the guy told me when we swapped an old combo amp for some magic beans.

BTW, the Hofner looks fantastic. Sweet color. Bet it plays like butta!

Had a gig tonight before work. Hate doing this but sometimes it's necessary. Work won't always give me a night off on a Friday. So, rather than drag the (relatively) big Eden combo that I normally gig with out, I said **** it and gigged with this and a direct box for the front. Worked out well...

big, I could barely recognize you without you 4 x10 lurking in the background. I'll bet that old Carvin still puts out some smooth bottom end.
