The Combo Club

I gots to figure out a way to record this thing(then how to post it). It's an amazing piece of gear that, at 52 y/o, blows some modern gear away. Of course, there's the video(s).

If I could reasonably do it I would. Shipping would be insane I think... What do you want for it anyway?

And I've seen that clip. Sounds quality withstanding that sounds cool.

Hadn't really thought about $$. I'd just like it to to someone who'd use it.
I think it's cool, and it sounds good. I'd play it. I'm losing some stuff now, would be making room for it.
Anyway it doesn't seem practical, at least for the moment. If I were driving to Miami I'd put it in the car for the ride home! But that isn't happening this week.
I bet you could find a home for it locally, some young player...

Hey @Miles_ONeal..I saw on Tuesdays nightly news here in South Aust that you had a tornado in the car park at your local Walmart at Round Rock..I hope you weren't shopping there at the time. Stay safe bass bro.

We've been hit hard by tornados in the past, so we stayed home during the rough times. They were several miles east of here. Thanks for checking, though!

No, I need that. And you need a road trip to Austin. Since you're coming this way, why not just chuck that old thing in the back?

It is strange that as I get older, I want a modern version of what I had when I was young...without the expense of vintage, weight and reliability. That is why I am so excited about my Ampeg PF20T tube amp.

Who knows, I may even buy a PF cab in order to qualify it as a COMBO :bag::rolleyes::whistle:!

Oh, and another thing...one of the jobs I continue to have and enjoy, even in retirement, is that of a :poop: disturber...

Are you seeing any of this at home, @Miles_ONeal ?

The town in Illinois where I grew up was directly hit by a strong tornado and it’s a memory you live with but you don’t shake off.
Plainfield? I was in southern Naperville when that one hit. Really scary!
Also flew into Hunstville AL in the middle of that superstorm in 2011. They wanted to divert our flight to Birmingham. No fun there, either.

Santa Cruz doesn't get tornados.

In ‘68-‘69 I went to North Central College in Naperville, but no, those storms were in 1967 around Oak Lawn and Belvedere. Belvedere was hit about the time schools let out and kids were boarding the school buses. The O.L. storm happened at rush hour, 5:30 more or less. My father was stopped at a traffic light and said that his car and those around him were bouncing around severely. If he hadn’t caught that red light he would’ve been one of the sixty or so who died. My best friend’s family (among many others) lost their house and nearly everything in it. So many stories about it.

I’ve been through a few others in other places and times but that was the worst for me.
