Just finished listening to a number of tunes played by the JTO. You, my friend, are a professional in the truest sense of the word. Thank you for posting the invite; I enjoyed the music immensely. To all of you here at the CC who perform at the level I heard (pros, semi-pros) from GP, thanks for hanging with we hobbyists here at this forum. It's great fortune that we get to know you and listen to what you play, whether it's for a living or at the tail end of a distinguished career in music. You are who the rest of us 9-5ers wish we could've been, and it's a treat to know you all. 30 years ago we wouldn't have had a clue about one another.

The big bottom was all I needed to hear to know it was your Rumbler. Perfect, especially for that style of music.

There are a few instances where mic-ing makes sense:

Ghosty, did you not have a post-EQ XLR Out (my preference), or that the Out was noisy?
On that ‘76 Acoustic 320 there is a pre amp out, but it was more for daisy chaining head to booster amp & cabs than p.a. support.
In fact the goal back then was to cover the room and the folded horn cabs Acoustic was famous for 360/361 were twice as loud at the back row, lol.
Incidentally, that was the 6th or 7th recurrence of that gig and the first time I wasn’t using a fairly modern rig, neo cab/class D. Lightweight stuff.
Being an outdoors gig of generous proportions I decided to bring my recently acquired ACC stack. The tech who’s honestly around 80 in appearance, smiled widely and went to work.
Reason for all this is that it was the first time since my involvement (6 years now, easy) that strangers approached the tech booth to comment on how ‘great the bass sounds’!

Figured with my PBJ suitcase waiting for me to return I could do with a quick fix. Something I could slap in my gig bag for any random backline, and with the C4 and this together pretty well set for anything ....

C-4s have been part of my tight space gear for quite a while. Great cabs.
Luckily I also now have my TC Electronic combo.
