Hello all. Been either busy and/or exhausted at lot lately so haven’t been on TB much other than to scan posts.
Gigged on Friday with the Rockits (used the TC Electronics BG 250-208), played in church Sunday morning (Quilter/Phil Jones stack
) and attended a re-curring semi-local blues jam Sunday afternoon-evening.
After years of not being able to make it to a blues jam or even open mic, it’s kinda strange to have all this freedom (since my honey passed).
I spent a lot of time onstage at the blues jam due to the old never-enough-bassists situation and when you add that I’m not half bad at both bass and vocals I was greatly encouraged to return, but alas this event travels from venue to venue so we’ll see how convenient it is next time.

Good way to remind you, placing them on top of your bass amp. That would certainly work on me, lol.

I think I told the story b4, but: we were a so-so folk-rock kinda group('72?) that had a possible recording deal in the works(didn't pan out-sigh). We went to a small recording studio in Hialeah and Mr. Brown happened to be there(IDK why). He was very nice to us, liked our sound, and then disappeared into the night. But at least I got to meet him in a non-performance situation.
