Rumble at Sunday brunch?

Meant to post here yesterday: gig at American Legion Sat. nite, 7 to 11. Home by 12:15. Up at 6:45 to go to 9 to noon Sunday morning brunch gig. 67 TBird/ Rumble 200c for both. Sounded choice. Got back to house and crashed. I'm gettin' too old for this (stuff). Got 2 gigs this Saturday about 50 miles apart. One from 2-3:15; other from 6:30-9:30. Adding load in/out and driving, gonna be a long day, especially at 73+. Using the SS bass and R40 for these 2.<Addendum>BTW, load in/out would seem like 1 trip. Nope. Also gotta take mic stand, music stand, 2 duffels and stool(bad knees)-usually 3 trips depending on which amp I'm using. Then, sometimes, also the PA(JBL EON One)and mixer.

So far, anything I've gotten from MF* has been fine, but it's been a coupla years since I ordered from them and I'd heard their service was slipping. Hmm.

*interesting acronym with at least one other meaning.

Don’t think, my friend, I wasn’t interchanging the two phrases either! I’ve ended my relationship with them as of tonight. I responded to a survey they just sent me and unsubscribed correspondence. Bought a lot of great equipment which allowed for many nice memories over the years, but they’ve changed, whether through incompetence or plain bad luck, and to me it’s been for the worse. RIP.

GP, you are the 73-year old motivation for us to keep it going. I’m feeling a hundred right now, but you’re out there playing regularly. Don’t quit if you’re still getting excited about playing.

Me? I’ve inherited a fifth grade drummer with a makeshift kit because our high school can’t loan out its trap set, and fourth grade singer who’s got Seven Nation Army nailed down but is scared to death to get on stage. Otherwise, we’re cool.

Hello all. Been either busy and/or exhausted at lot lately so haven’t been on TB much other than to scan posts.

Gigged on Friday with the Rockits (used the TC Electronics BG 250-208), played in church Sunday morning (Quilter/Phil Jones stack ) and attended a re-curring semi-local blues jam Sunday afternoon-evening.

After years of not being able to make it to a blues jam or even open mic, it’s kinda strange to have all this freedom (since my honey passed).

I spent a lot of time onstage at the blues jam due to the old never-enough-bassists situation and when you add that I’m not half bad at both bass and vocals I was greatly encouraged to return, but alas this event travels from venue to venue so we’ll see how convenient it is next time.

Wonderful to see you back, Ghostie! Nothing like not enough bassists at the jam to make a person feel wanted. Stay in touch with us as the days go by because you know we love to know what our members are up to. As for jamming, go when ya want and don’t sweat it when ya don’t want to.

So you’re a Squier owner, eh? Very cool. That Jag bass looks like it could play itself. I’ll wager it sounds as nice too. My latest Squier addition is the nicest “cheap” guitar ever. Neck is as smooth as butta. Least amount of setup ever too. Heck, I’m using the strings it came with and I never do that.

Have fun on Sunday and don’t get struck by lightning, but do enjoy that humidity!

Well, I did take off the (?) strings it came with and put on flats, but as a mostly Gibby player, I like it better than I thought I would, esp. for $190.
