Best wines in the world..our beautiful Barossa Valley red and white wines..me Im a red drinker..and boy did I see lots of it during this past week or so.
Ok any new members or any old members buying up more combo's?

Just posted a pic in the Sterling by Music Man Sub forum as the OP was looking for members, so as I bought the bass for my lovely wife more than 2 years ago I thought I'd give them a posting in there too. Look at the pic I gave them...it also features my Rumble Combo lolll..what a shameless plug..lol

HEY BRO..HOW ITS GOINGHey Giff! Just popped into the fearless leader office to pay some bills and see what I've missed. Lots of good stuff, both pics and scribe here of late, and of course, I plan on replying to many of them with yours being first. I checked out the Sub, prior to picking up my Beatle bass and thought it was very interesting. I saw it as a nice contrast to the Jazz tone. They have lefties too. How's it sound with your Rumbler?
The SUB actually sounds very Stingray like..nice to play for a cheap bass too..but the Rumble probably makes it sound better than it is lolHey Giff! Dunno how you managed to pry it out of Paul's hands lolllHey Giff! Just popped into the fearless leader office to pay some bills and see what I've missed. Awwww SR..sorry to see you having to part with that lovely old Gibo semi. Beautiful looking bass. I had a Japanese copy of one of those back in the early 70's...couldnt remember what brand it was and being a young ignorant moron in my early 20's I packed the F clef sound holes full of cotton wool because it sounded too hollow and boomy through my old amp lolll..the things you do. The cotton wool didnt last long however...it sounded much better removed lol
Yeah I got 8 basses and there is only one of me with a left and right hand and can only play one at a time..naturally you tend to choose ya favs all the time and some keep sitting in the corner so I do understand SR...but it still has haunted me over the years...sold a lovely Gib EB 3 and a couple Rics and a beaut Fender Precision in the 70's...been kicking myself ever since lol..live and learn in my case...and I never learn lolI had that bass since the early '80's. An employee of mine, at the time, need some money...wanted $100 for it and I said, I was a Fender man, but what the heck! Didn't have to part with it, just didn't make sense to keep it if it wasn't being played.
Returned my Rumble 500 after 6 weeks and picked up an Ampeg BA115. I just couldn’t get along with the Rumble. Too thumpy and vintage sounding and made every bass I played sound the same. Just couldn’t get an aggressive, modern tone with articulate highs out of it. Just wish there were extension cabs for the BA series like there are with the Rumbles. Great tones though.
I found a Peavey Combo 300 awhile back, and found the enclosure smaller than I liked it, but liked the amplifier section. I had it serviced, then got it home and did a little re-mod. Just need to get the lower corner pieces on it, and some rubber feet...

It's the same width as the Crate cab it's sitting on here, which cab will be fitted with an Eminence Sigma 18.
Hey @Giffro, haven't been "spending up big", quite the opposite:
Goodbye old friend...'68 Gibson EB2-DC.
This is what happens when one gets caught up in the Combo buying spree.
Last Friday at the Fullerton CA Elks Lodge:View attachment 3426696 Sorry I’ve not been a good contributor lately I have been gigging however and it’s helping to stay busy lately.
Yes sir - I can't agree more! My mother (90 yrs old) has just been put on hospice. Her entire life was dedicated to music - as an entertainer and later in life, she was an officer for the Atlanta Federation of Musicians. I've been truly blessed to have her in my life this long and can attribute her longevity to a life of beautiful music and laughter! Even now, as the family is coming together to comfort her in her final days, music and laughter are making it bearable for us all!
Yea. I may swap the 115 for a 210 since it has an extension out and then pick up a 1x15 cab

To believe what I read here at TB, the Scrambler adds some good dimension to the BA series. The BA108v2 here is too low on the model line totem pole for its own Scrambler. It's definitely a sweet amp, regardless and sees a lot more use than originally guessed.
Soul, I skimmed your bass guitar link. As long as you were able to get a few bucks...I mean, that bass was half a century old! Looked really good too, but if it's not ringing your bell then it's time for someone else to enjoy its mojo. As far as combos go...spree away!

She calls it like it is, Giff. That's why she runs her own business here in the club. G'dog calls it moxie!
