Did you notice I made sure to place my self right next to Elizabeth that way I knew I would get on the Big Screen!! LOL It was so much fun!!!Congratulations on a great show! I've been getting folks know slowly that my wife and I separated recently. It really suck because it was unexpected and I don't think we should. Anyway, the good news is that I have an awesome Hofner display in my living room now.

Hello PSPookie! Yes, I have counted Fliptop amps, much to the chagrin of other members I'm sure because I see it as a one-piece integrally-designed unit. So what's the difference between that and any other head/cab rig? They're not Ampeg Fliptops...

Doc, on behalf of all of us reading this post, we're sorry to hear about this unfortunate chapter in your life book. As GP said, many of us have sadly walked in those same shoes as you are right now and all I can say is while it stings like crazy during it, time will slowly heal afterward. Then, if you're really lucky, you'll meet someone who will change your life forever and make it even better. Who knows, maybe you and the Mrs. will reconcile down the road. It's all out there in front of you, Doc. Stir up the needed courage and face it head-on.

On an unrelated and much less important note, I found a great rosewood thumb rest on Amazon for seven bucks, but can't get it until after the shows. I'm going to still consider getting on though.
M, I hear ya. There's no better way to begin a challenging day of languishing in the house to shelter oneself from the heat and humidity like a visit to the Combo Club! You've also ignited interest in the posting of some sweet-looking rigs too. Thanks for your contribution today!

The BC100 seems to be doing quite well in comparison to its rivals. I owned the 50-watter seven months ago and noticed how the retail price on it has jumped higher than the temperature in Florida during July! Are you using it as a standup combo or more of a monitor? The nice thing is you can do either when needed. Congrats!
Awesome worship rig, 'dog, but I'll be the first to admit that even though the Studio 40 is probably your best choice for your needs, I miss the foxy Voxy and its tubey vibe. Still, great choice in gear!
GP, even though you've posted pics of your AGB-200 before, I just wanted to tell you how nice-looking that bass is. What are your favorite tunes to play through it? I'm guessing the oldies that give the double bass feel, but maybe you dig using it for Metallica or something. I'll be it sounds good with the Rumbles though.
Okay, so here's my rig setup, as of this writing but it could always change, for the possibly the final Columbus trip from the 17th thru the 21st. Several gigs on tap so I should be able to play each bass to see where my heart truly lies. Other than the hardware shown, I really don't have to much more to haul other than accessories. My Stage 800 eliminated extra pieces.
The awesome music book cover is credited to #2 who gave me a very large head/cab to play folk and worship music, though it is scheduled to be outdoors. Also, you'll note that my bass is upside down. She only had a right-handed stamp but was thoughtful enough to flip it around so I don't look like some kind of a weirdo. And yes, my guitar cable runs past the amp directly to my Ampeg BA108 v2! She's my current sweetie.

Because of lack of space on most of our band's gigs, I only take one bass on 'stage', and that would normally be the TBird, which I prefer to play on everything. I play the Ibanez in concert band or the occasional jazz-y gig for its upright-y tone. Our country club gig tomorrow night will see me using the TBird and R40 since I won't need the 'oomph' of the 200c for that room. Next Friday's gig, I'll be using one of the short scales* due to very tight room for the group.

I hear ya. I tend to wake up really early and make use of my Blackstar's headphone jack to start my day. Nothing like cranking the volume at 4 am without disturbing anyone.

GP, I was seriously considering taking photos of the basses and amp out in front of my garage door, but with the heat index currently at 97 degrees that idea wilted.
