On a completely different topic, here's the setlist (give or take a song) for our Holiday Assembly on the final week of school prior to a well-deserved extended break for the kiddies. Let me know if you've heard and/or played a few of these gems:
2019 Christmas Carols
1. Jingle Bells
2. Away in a Manger
3. It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
4. Deck the Halls
5. Silver Bells
6. Jolly Old St. Nicolas
7. Let it Snow
8. Up on the House Top
9. White Christmas
10. Feliz Navidad
11. Santa Claus is Coming to Town
12. Winter Wonderland
13. Frosty the Snowman
14. Silent Night
15. Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer
16. Do You Hear What I Hear?
17. Jingle Bell Rock
18. I’ll Be Home for Christmas
19. We Wish You a Merry Christmas
20. Stairway to Heaven
Aside from someone adding themselves to our little trio, it'll be acoustic guitar, bass, Cajon, and 400 voices divided up for each song if I read the memo correctly. I'm stoked. Unlike the rest of you pros, I have to take my gigs with the same amount of gusto as climbing the Himalayas or something. I may even be so bold and wear my Santa hat! Now I have to decide which amp to use. I believe it's in either the gym (very large) or the music room (large). Right now I'm thinking of either the Rumble 100 and DI it to the PA, or roll the dice and run the new VOX head through the Ampeg 210 cab. No DI, but I could still run the line out into the PA and adjust from the board. Or...are you ready...? Bring the Superbeetle rig and mic the cab. Thoughts?
