Thanks DrMole..yep its gonna get a tad warm by this time next week with 45C or more predicted so heading towards Antarctica, which as you say, isnt that further south for us, is a darn good spot for a bit of summer relief lollI thought you should take a cruise to even further south- many degrees of latitude. I realize you run out of continent rather quickly from your locale ( thus my prior edit after realizing how truly SOUTH you already are)
Guess my point is your only option may be to go closer to the pole.
That was an interesting read on the "grid saving battery".
Best wishes for cooling and electrical relief
What a drama Doc..hope it gets sorted out quickly for both sides.A brief story, since things are up in the air. As folks had guessed I did order Vox VX50BA. I ordered on Reverb for a great price from a nice fellow in South Carolina. Anyway, he shipped it via FedEx and that's where things went wrong. They lost his shipping information, and couldn't seem to resolve the issues even after the seller tried his best to fix it. So they sent the amp back to him. We were both very frustrated by this time, but him more than I. So he decided he was going to send me the amp for free; not just the shipping, but the amp too for free. I thanked him for his generosity and told I'd send him some money when I received the amp. No we wait ...

)Shrimp and Crabmeat Gumbo, Dog, sounds like a very Intrepid meal loll
I think Gomer Pyle loved it too...well gooollleeeeyyyy lolllFIFY
Not really too adventurous around here, Giffy. Chicken, sausage, and many other types of gumbo is a staple, especially during this cool-to-cold time of year. But, Mrs. Dog knows I love shrimp in all things, and crabmeat just makes it even betterer!in·trep·id
/inˈtrepəd/
adjective
- fearless; adventurous (often used for rhetorical or humorous effect). "our intrepid reporter"
I think even Intrepid Leader would like it, unless he's got a shellfish allergy.

ok, happy now?
Yep no doubt about the climate crisis here in OzIf I disappear anytime next week CC Members it could be that our power in my area of Adelaide has been cut off due to what's known as Load Sharing, so as to keep the power on in most other areas of the city and state. In other words the Power Regulator here in Australia can turn off an area's power for a few hours at a time if the system is under stress. Next week our heatwave temperatures in the north of Adelaide are...
Mon. 16th - 38C degrees,
Tue. 17th - 42C degrees,
Wed. 18th - 43C degrees,
Thur. 19th - 44C degrees,
Fri. 20th - 46C degrees.
I certainly hope to stay here and my air conditioners to keep functioning in that heat but anything is possible going by past years of power cuts due to stressed generators etc etc. Just an advisory that if it happens I havent gone by choice loll
GIFF.
I feel yer pain. This summer was the hottest for the longest in Florida history. And we hit 85 F today(well, your yesterday-or is it tomorrow?)Yep no doubt about the climate crisis here in Oz View attachment 3633789
