Uh-oh! FL's in deep....,uh, trouble.
Very classy of you, mj2! I hear ya about loaning out equipment, but my experiences elicit the opposite reactions. Whenever I offer my bass to someone in need they look at me weirdly and say, that's okay, thanks. I still don't get it...
This is why we have credit cards-or home equity loans. Shoot(sp?), sell whatever you use least.

Since it is a left handed bass, it seems like it should be offered at a discounted price, since the the left handed bass market is so small.
Think it about it...how many true famous left handed bass players are there? Only the bass players that play a lefty bass, not the ones that flip a right handed bass upside down....

Hmmm, "sounds" like the li'l foxy Vox VX50BA is just the thing. A tubey sounding 50W into an 8" speaker, just 9.9 lb.s, about $230. Seems to defy the laws of physics!

I have no doubt whatsoever that such an amp is totally possible today. The Trace Elliott ELF Micro-Bass head is already there, on the used market at least!

Puzzled: both Elf combos have the same head, but different boxes, right? So how does the 1x10 give you an option of either/both cabs? I fell off the back of the bus here...
All are invited, but it may be a bit of a drive for you. It's an acoustic jam, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to sneak a tiny amp into the mix. But I'm going to try!Go for it in 2020! A slow jam with mediocre players sounds right up my ally...

I don't think many are cross-shopping the TE 1x8 or 1x10 vs. the Rumble 500, so I would guess that TE is safe for the moment.

An Elf 1x10 combo could be paired with the Elf 1x10 as an extension, or the Elf 2x8. Reports are both combinations with the standalone Elf head are solid, but different. And can't rightly recall how from those who posted their experience. I'd expect the Elf 1x8 combo to play very well with the Elf 2x8. And with the caveat I'm playing a Phil Jones Cab 27 with my Elf. PBJ gear has a reputation for transparency, so I believe I'm hearing the Elf (relatively) uncoloured.
The wife and I took an extended weekend trip from West Michigan down to Indianapolis this past fall. My only two requirements were to stop in at Sweetwater in Fort Wayne, IN on the way down and to go to the Slippery Noodle blues bar/nightclub in downtown Indy.
So the Sunday night at the Slippery Noodle there was a local blues guitarist doing an a acoustic set in the restaurant area. He played amplified but at a lower volume. The trio also included a harp player and an electric bass player.
The bass player was playing a TE Elf 200W micro head through a TE 300W 1x10 cab. It sounded really good. No problem filling the room.
