The Combo Club

The fella that sent me the VX50BA never deposited my money transfer. I'm not sure if it was because he was unable to deposit the money or he simply did not want it. He was definitely a nice guy and generous either way. So this beauty has fit in well with my rig and only cost me $36.50 USD. View attachment 3684643

Doc, I just told Balog how great a deal he made and then you go and top it with possibly THE lowest price I've ever heard for an amp that actually works and has all it knobs! I'm so happy that it's working in your system, but you have to satisfy both doggie and myself by pulling the Foxy Voxy out of your bi-amped rig and try running it alone for an afternoon so we can see what you say about it. Do you like the NuTube grind? I think they're seriously onto something but we'll have to see if the public thinks so too. I'm guessing you have enough power, even against Mr. HK Guitarist. 36 bucks...OMG!!!

My new (to me) GK MB212-ii got a work-out Saturday night with my son's band. The bass player is a kid who loves his mids and does some fancy footwork with a pedal-board full of effects. He set it up pre-gig as I told him: EQ-flat, contour off, horn on. Dial in what you like for a sound with the eq and get your volume all set. Then, when they started playing, I told him to roll up the boost a bit. His eyes got very big and worries about keeping up with half-stacks melted away. Then I carried the amp AND his bass out together at the end of the night. I call that a "win" for the GK!

Bigs, you're my last reply before hitting the rack. What I wanted to know most is since you were there (or I'm assuming so by what you wrote), how was the tone at a fairly loud level? Did she hold up well or was there any straining? You run your GK exactly as I did years ago. Run as much flat as possible and use the boost to set how naw-tay you wanna get. Sweet!

Nice setup, GP. Very intimate. I can't see the Rumble though. Is it off to your left or behind you? If I was there I'd have dropped some serious coins in the jar for ya. Bottom line, you guys look like you're having fun!

I was there, so.....

You're hired

and then @GonePlaid did this....

Love it, jt. I'm a GonePlaid fan, so please help me out, here. I'm not getting any audio from this clip, nor the one in the Rumble Club. Please tell me it has sound! I suspect I'm not doing something right, which would be my normal modus operandi.

I’m gonna try this again apparently I have to upload the video and choose for the sound to come through as well so hopefully it works this time :roflmao:

Behind me in the corner-in the dark. BTW, this is by no means, our tightest "stage". Note the JBL EON One PA to my left. It's all we need for many of our appearances.

FYI, tj, you should be able to edit your original "silent movie" post to delete the now "image does not exist" message, or maybe even delete the whole post, if you wish.

Yea, I tried, no luck. I think I saw somewhere there is a time limit? Maybe an admin will see this and delete the ones that won't work for me?
